摘要: A coated article for use in spandrel applications and/or the like is provided. In certain example embodiments, a coating is provided to have a coating design which permits the coating to realize more predictable and/or consistent optical characteristics such as glass side reflectance, color and/or the like. Certain example embodiments of this invention relate to a method of making a coated article for spandrel applications or the like. In certain embodiments, a powder inclusive lacquer coating is used as an overcoat.

摘要: The invention relates to a hot melt adhesive, comprising at least one polysaccharide ester gained by a reaction of a polysaccharide with an imidazolide in melted imidazole. The invention relates, further, to a process for producing the hot melt adhesive, in which imidazole is melted, and an acid chloride and/or an acid anhydride and/or a lactone is reacted in and with the melted imidazole to form an imidazolide, whereby at least one polysaccharide is added to the melted imidazole, whereby the polysaccharide is reacted with the imidazolide to form a polysaccharide ester.

摘要: The invention relates to an environmentally friendly, solvent-free printing ink, particular for printing single-pane safety glass, and also to its use in the form of a process for producing this printing, for example as an alternative way of achieving an in-line coloration of flat glass.The problem addressed by this invention, that of providing an environmentally-friendly, solvent-free printing ink, in particular for colored printing of a substrate, for example glass/single-pane safety glass, and also the use of this printing ink which avoids the disadvantages of the prior art is solved by the presence of a pigmented system in a lacquer slurry, the printing ink being water soluble and digitally printable, so that a process for producing a coating on glass using this printing ink comprising the steps of cleaning the glass surface (in glass washing system or manually by using special cleaner [comprising acetic acid]) pretreating the glass surface in a flame pyrolysis process to generate an SiOx layer (addition of siloxanes into the flame) applying an adhesion-promoting primer (primer) by air brush (adhesion promoter based on isopropanol and comprising silane as adhesion-promoting component) flushing the primer layer off (for about 5 min in the example) preparing the printed image with the invention's CPS by means of a commercial digital ink jet process curing the CPS by means of infrared, is made possible.
