Abstract:
The invention provides an improved fishing guide, specifically the tip top guide style. The guide consists of a single continuous piece of wire, bent in a manner to create a guide foot, guide ring, an elbow where the wires remain parallel after bending away from the vertical guide foot either inwards towards the guide ring, or outwards away from the guide ring, and a barrier on the rear portion of the guide above the guide foot that prevents the line from sliding between the two wires emerging from the guide foot. This protects the line from pinch points that are common in tip top style guides made of a single wire.
Abstract:
An apparatus for shape and color matching retrieval games to be played in a body of water, such as a swimming pool, includes base stations, cover panels, and retrieval objects that players retrieve from the body of water during play of the game. The base provides a support to which cover panels can be removably affixed. The base and the cover panels each have on their top surfaces a series of position markers in the nature of slots formed in various geometric shapes. Each base and cover panel has a subset of retrieval objects matched in shape and/or color to its respective position markers. A method is provided for playing different versions of retrieval games using the base and the cover panels.
Abstract:
An device for conditional, proximity based authorization for the use of equipment. The apparatus can comprise a key device capable of determining a position of the key device, identifying a user, and determining the status of one or more prerequisite conditions. The prerequisite conditions can also have subconditions, or be contingent upon other factors. The device can active enable or disable an apparatus for the user.
Abstract:
A system for automated inspection and maintenance of an asset. The system can include at least one client device in communication with a mobile asset management module. The client device can receive inputs from a user or one or more sensors. The mobile asset management module can receive information from the client device to determine the identity of an asset, receive asset status information, analyze the asset status information, determine a status of the asset, determine a service requirement for the asset, and transmit the service requirement.
Abstract:
A sealing assembly including a seal element at least partially formed from a shape memory material. The shape memory material urges the seal element to revert to an original shape upon exposure to a transition stimulus. The seal element is operatively arranged for sealing against a downhole structure when in the original shape. An interlock mechanism is included for holding the seal element in a deformed position in which the seal element is not able to seal against the downhole structure even after exposure to the transition stimulus. A method of setting a downhole sealing assembly is also included.
Abstract:
An under-reamer includes a body and extendable cutters mounted on the body. The under-reamer is configured to be cycled between a first configuration in which the cutters are retracted and a second configuration in which the cutters are movable between retracted and extended positions. A control mechanism is provided and is configurable to prevent the under-reamer cycling between the first and second configurations and thus maintains the under-reamer in a selected one of the first and second configurations.
Abstract:
Combination cart and stand device comprised of a main frame assembly, a wheel assembly operatively coupled proximate to one end of the main frame assembly, and inner and outer support members pivotally coupled to the main frame assembly at a location distal from said wheel assembly wherein the main frame assembly, the inner support member, and the outer support member nest together to form a folded cart configuration while the main frame supports a liquid dispensing container which is transported by wheels of the wheel assembly rolling along an underlying surface of the device and wherein the inner and outer support members pivot apart and the main frame assembly pivots to an inverted elevated position for forming a stand configuration for supporting the liquid dispensing container in an elevated liquid dispensing position. Other types of containers can also be employed with the combination cart and stand device.
Abstract:
A disclosed device and method are useful for monitoring a tube bending process. An example sensor detects a force associated with moving a mandrel in tubing during at least a portion of a tube bending process. The detected force is used to determine a quality of the tube bending process. For example, a detected pulling force provides an indication of whether a bent portion of a tube is within an acceptable range of a desired configuration. The detected pulling force is also useful to provide an indication of whether a condition of a mandrel or a machine used during the process is as expected.
