摘要： A fishing rod according to one embodiment includes a rod body extending in a front-and-back direction along a central axis, a fitting having a mounting part, where the mounting part is mounted on an outer peripheral surface of the rod body at a first position determined in a circumferential direction around the central axis, and a fiber-reinforced resin layer surrounding the rod body so as to cover the mounting part. The fiber-reinforced resin layer has a first portion covering the rod body along an entire length thereof in the circumferential direction around the central axis and a second portion extending in the axial direction backward from an axially back end of the first portion and extending in the circumferential direction less than 180° clockwise from the first position and also less than 180° anti-clockwise from the first position.

摘要： A fishing rod handle fixing a reel having front and rear legs is provided. The fishing rod handle includes a front coupling portion coupled to a rod body, a rear coupling portion coupled to a rear grip, a reel fixing portion defined between the front and rear coupling portions and fixing the front leg, a pressing mechanism, and a reinforcing member. The front and rear legs are seated on a seating portion of the reel fixing portion, and the seating portion is spaced downward from an upper end of the front coupling portion and an upper end of the rear coupling portion. The pressing mechanism is coupled to the reel fixing portion above the seating portion, and presses the rear leg against the seating portion. The reinforcing member is embedded in the reel fixing portion below the seating portion, and resists bending deformation of the reel fixing portion.

摘要： A fishing line guide attached to a rod body of a fishing rod is provided. The fishing line guide includes a guide ring through which a fishing line passes, a frame supporting the guide ring, and an attachment portion coupled to the frame and attached to the rod body. The frame has, at a lower end thereof, an attachment foot extending along a longitudinal direction of the rod body. The attachment portion is coupled to the attachment foot and is composed of a resin material. The attachment portion has a through bore to which the rod body is fitted, and a fitting hole to which the attachment foot is fitted. The fitting hole is spaced apart along the longitudinal direction from one end surface of the attachment portion and is formed at an outside of the through bore separately from the through bore in a radial direction.

摘要： There is provided a fishing rod preventing or suppressing deviation or inclination of a fitting on a surface of a rod body. The fishing rod includes an elongated cylindrical rod body, a fitting having a mounting portion and mounted to an outer peripheral surface of the rod body via the mounting portion, a first layer formed by winding a first sheet so as to enclose the mounting portion and the rod body, the first sheet being made of a fiber-reinforced resin or a resin having a thermal shrinkage rate of 2.5% or lower, and a second layer formed by winding a second sheet made of a fiber-reinforced resin on an outer side of the first sheet, wherein a temperature at which a loss tangent of the first sheet has a maximum value is different from a temperature at which a loss tangent of the second sheet has a maximum value.

摘要： A heated fishing rod guide apparatus is provided to enable fishing in freezing conditions. A circuit strip overlay is positionable upon a fishing rod to situate a plurality of heating elements in heating contact with each of the plurality of guides disposed upon the fishing rod blank. Electrical energy supplied to each guide therefore resistively heats said guides to prevent the fishing line from freezing thereto to prevent snapping of the line as often otherwise occurs. At least one connector is disposed upon the handle of the fishing rod disposed in circuit with the circuit strip overlay. The at least one connector may be adapted for connection with at least one contact disposed upon a cold weather glove, to enable heating of the rod when held in hand, and, alternately, with an attachable contact to enable hands-free heating.

摘要： The present invention is directed to an improved fishing rod guide. In one embodiment the improved fishing rod includes superhydrophobic metal guides. The superhydrophobic metal guides make it possible for fishing line, including, for example, fly fishing line and conventional fishing line, to move through the guides with less weight and drag due to water and ice accumulation, allowing for significantly greater distance and ease in casting. Additionally, the decrease in friction between the fishing line and line guides help extend the life of the fishing line.
