Abstract:
Neck treatment devices for treating the neck of a person is disclosed herein. The treatment devices have front to back treatment elements with multiple extending ridges located in spaced apart side by side relationship extending substantially in parallel from, at or towards the front edge of treatment element to the back edge of treatment element with a relatively gentle sloping curve in their front portion and a more pronounced curve in their back portion. A method of using the neck treatment device is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A novelty light configured to be releasably secured to a user's fingernail and further being configured to have disposed therein a first light source and a second light source. The novelty light includes a support member that is planar in manner having a radius that is approximately equivalent to a human fingernail. Secured to one end of the support member is a lighting chamber. The lighting chamber includes an interior volume having a first internal portion and a second internal portion containing a chemiluminescent material therein. A membrane is disposed within the interior volume of the lighting chamber intermediate the first internal portion and the second internal portion and is configured to be ruptured so as to facilitate the mixing of the chemiluminescent materials so as to produce light. The lighting chamber is further configured with a third internal portion isolated from the second internal portion and first internal portion.
Abstract:
Neck treatment devices for treating the neck of a person includes a multitude of neck treatment elements located on either side of the device for treating the neck of a person to relieve the pain, joint stiffness, muscle tightness, muscle tension, and headaches of the person when lying supine on the device or when sitting on a chair depending upon the form of the device. One form of the device 2 comprises depthwise front to back treatment elements 6 with multiple extending ridges 10a, 10b, 12a, 12b, 14a, and 14b located in spaced apart side by side relationship extending substantially in parallel from, at or towards the front edge 16 of treatment element 6 to the back edge 18 of treatment element 6 with a relatively gentle sloping curve in their front 16 portion and a more pronounced curve in their back 18 portion for providing less or more pressure to the cervical (neck) facet joints respectively when lying on the device supine. The multiple ridges 10a, 10b, 12a, 12b, 14a, and 14b on the treatment elements are arranged concavely in front view to uniformly match the convex shape of the head and neck, and arranged to extend outwardly in profile from the device 2, treatment element portion or chair to an extent to direct therapeutic forces directly onto the cervical (neck) facet joints and neck muscles of a person using the device to mobilise the facet joints and massage the muscles of the neck of the user replicating treatment provided by a physical therapist by relieving pain, reducing joint stiffness, muscle tightness and tension, to the neck of a person and also relieve neck-related headaches.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a loudspeaker with a port tube having an acoustic leakage path through a motile part thereof. In this way, excess energy caused by longitudinal resonance at higher frequencies is radiated transversely through the port tube walls rather than contributing to the output of the loudspeaker itself.
Abstract:
Information and data stored by a mobile device is protected by comprising applying password-protection to the locally-stored information without persistently storing the corresponding password locally. Rather, the corresponding password is stored by a remote password server. In response to a trigger event on the mobile device, such as an unlocking action by the user, a request is sent by the mobile device to the password server to retrieve the corresponding server, and the corresponding password is returned to the mobile device. The mobile device can then use the password to access the protected information. If the user determines that the mobile device is lost, stolen, or out of the user's physical control, the user may access the password server and disable the sending of the password to the mobile device, thereby thwarting attempts to access the protected data on the mobile device.
Abstract:
A web application decomposed into one or more domain sandboxes ensures that the contents of each sandbox are protected from attacks on the web application outside that sandbox. Sandboxing is achieved on a per-element basis by identifying content that should be put under protection, generating a secure domain name for the identified content, and replacing the identified content with a unique reference (e.g., an iframe) to the generated secure domain. The identified content is then served only from the generated secure domain using a content handler.
Abstract:
A method for processing image data of a sample is disclosed. The method comprises registering a first and a second images of at least partially overlapping spatial regions of the sample and processing data from the registered images to obtain integrated image data comprising information about the sample, said information being additional to that available from said first and second images.
Abstract:
Computer implemented methods of tracking customer spending and income are provided. The methods may comprise aggregating spending transactions by estimating income to a customer during a first time period. The methods may also comprise displaying a user interface to the customer. The user interface may comprise a first bar indicating customer income and a second bar indicating customer spending.

Abstract:
In a method of analyzing an input video sequence, pixels of synthesized images of an output video sequence are associated with respective directions of regularity belonging to a predefined set of directions. A first subset of candidate directions is determined from the predefined set of directions for a region of a first image of the output sequence. For a corresponding region of a second synthesized image of the output sequence following the first image, a second subset of candidate directions is determined from the predefined set of directions, based on images of the input sequence and the first subset of candidate directions. The directions of regularity for pixels of this region of the second synthesized image are detected from the second subset of candidate directions. The recursive determination of the subsets of candidate directions provides a sparse geometry for efficiently analyzing the video sequence. The method is well suited for super-resolution video applications such as deinterlacing, frame rate conversion and noise reduction.
