    摘要: An x-ray source assembly includes an anode having a spot upon which electrons impinge based on power level supplied to the assembly, and an optic coupled to receive divergent x-rays generated at the spot and transmit output x-rays from the assembly. A control system is provided for maintaining intensity of the output x-rays dynamically during operation of the x-ray source assembly, notwithstanding a change in at least one operating condition of the x-ray source assembly, by changing the power level supplied to the assembly. The control system may include at least one actuator for effecting the change in the power level supplied to the assembly, by, e.g., controlling a power supply associated with the assembly. The control system may also change the temperature and/or the position of the anode to maintain the output intensity.

    摘要: A binder composition for Portland cement is disclosed, said composition including 100 parts by weight metakaolin and, based upon said metakaolin, from 20 to 70 parts by weight slag; from 85 to 130 parts by weight of at least 1 material selected from the class consisting of fly ash, calcined shale, and calcined clay; from 70 to 215 parts by weight finely divided silica, preferably amorphous silica; and from 55 to 145 parts by weight of a mixture of potassium silicate and potassium hydroxide, wherein at least 55 parts by weight is potassium silicate. The binder composition can be mixed with Portland cement or with a combination of Portland cement and fly ash to provide a composition curable to a material having a high early strength and a high ultimate strength.

    摘要: Phenyl acetamide compounds are described, including compounds of Formula I: or a solvate, hydrate or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; wherein R3-R6, R11, B, Y and W are set forth in the specification. The compounds of the invention are potent inhibitors of proteases, especially trypsin-like serine proteases, such as thrombin and factor Xa. Compositions for inhibiting loss of blood platelets, inhibiting formation of blood platelet aggregates, inhibiting formation of fibrin, inhibiting thrombus formation, and inhibiting embolus formation are described. Other uses of compounds of the invention are as anticoagulants either embedded in or physically linked to materials used in the manufacture of devices used in blood collection, blood circulation, and blood storage, such as catheters, blood dialysis machines, blood collection syringes and tubes, blood lines and stents. Additionally, the compounds can be detectably labeled and employed for in vivo imaging of thrombi.
