摘要: The present invention describes a tubular scoop that may be utilized with various assemblies for sampling fluid in a pipeline. The scoop includes a bend with a bend radius that is from two to four times the diameter of the scoop. The scoop defines a scoop face that is parallel to an axis of the tubular of the scoop. The scoop is mounted with a threaded connection that seals around the tubular. An additional seal comprises a compression nut that allows orientation of the scoop within the pipeline whereupon the scoop orientation is fixed by tightening the compression nut. In one embodiment, the scoop is a single outer tubular with internal bi-directional flow.

摘要: The present invention describes a sampling system and densitometer system for sampling fluids from a pipeline. A flow loop is set up which continuously collects fluid from the pipeline and then returns the fluid with a minimum fluid flow rate so that the fluid is representative of fluid flowing through the pipeline at the time of sampling. For each sample, pressurized fluid is taken from the flow loop and directed to a pressurized sampling chamber. The sample is then directed by gravity to a removable sample container, which may be pressurized or unpressurized, in each sampling cycle.

摘要: A retractable sample scoop is shown that is mountable to a pipeline for taking samples from the pipeline. A retractable mounting mechanism mounts to the pipeline wall. A tubular is extendable into the opening of pipeline and retractable from the pipeline. A first seal creates sealing around the tubular portion with respect to said pipeline while permitting insertion, retraction and rotation of said first tubular portion with respect to said pipeline. A second seal comprises a tubular without threads to pipe connector with threads.

摘要: A bidirectional scoop assembly is shown that is mountable to a pipeline for taking samples from the pipeline. A wafer flange is mounted in said pipeline surrounding the fluid flow through the pipeline. A first tubular is extendable through a first side of the wafer flange to receive a sample from the pipeline. A second tubular is extendable through a second side of the wafer flange to receive a sample from the pipeline. The first tubular and second tubular are positioned adjacent each other whereby at least a portion of a first opening of the first tubular and at least a portion of a second opening of the second tubular are axially aligned or parallel to a flow axis of the pipeline.

摘要: A bi-directional flow scoop system and/or tandem system is mountable to a pipeline operable for receiving and returning a fluid flow from the pipeline. A first tubular is mounted so that the first tubular extends into the pipeline. The scoop end comprises a bend leading to a first face with a first opening for communication with the fluid flow. A second tubular is mounted with a second opening for communication with the fluid flow. The bi-directional scoop is configurable to provide fluid flow in two directions when mounted to the pipeline. In one embodiment, the bi-directional flow scoop system and/or tandem system a flange is provided for separately mounting the first and second tubulars and in another embodiment the second tubular is mounted within the first tubular.
