Abstract:
A semi-pneumatic tire body for assembly to the rim of a wheel comprises spaced tread and root portions interconnected with spaced sidewalls to define an annular cavity. An annular load-bearing rib is connected to the root portion and extends radially toward the tread portion to be normally spaced apart from the tread portion in the unloaded state in order to establish communication between the internal chambers of the tire for free gaseous interchange and for free response of the tire to load forces.
Abstract:
Improved pin-assembly connecting joint for interconnecting the ends of aluminum alloy wheel rim extrusions, characterized by pin members force fit into tubulations having a larger total cross sectional area than the pin members so as to form channels in a portion of the tubulation, and the channels are sealed with an adhesive to provide a barrier against liquid chemicals, as well as a joint of enhanced strength.
Abstract:
A clip for locking pneumatic tires to mounting rims which includes a base plate adapted for attachment to the rim root wall and a pair of arms disposed at the opposite ends of the base plate. Cleats are disposed on each of the clip arms, including tooth elements projecting inwardly of the rim sidewalls for indentably engaging the confronting sidewalls of the tire casing which is mounted on the wheel rim.
