摘要: A conveyor apparatus includes a first guide assembly defining a plurality of inlet lanes in which inlet columns of flat articles are forwarded in a direction of advance determined by the first guide assembly and a second guide assembly defining a plurality of outlet lanes in which outlet columns of the flat articles are advanced. The outlet lanes are different in number from that of the inlet lanes. A plurality of routing gates is arranged at a discharge end of the inlet lanes. Each routing gate is arranged to be pivoted into one of two end positions for redistributing the articles from the inlet lanes into the outlet lanes. There are further provided separate actuating units operatively connected to separate routing gates for independently operating each routing gate. Each actuating unit comprises a sensor arranged at a respective inlet lane for emitting a signal upon passage of an article on the respective inlet lane and a setting motor connected to a respective routing gate and a sensor for operating the respective routing gate in response to the signal emitted by the sensor.

摘要: A method of producing packages and an apparatus for implementing the method wherein each package contains a whole number of stackable objects which are conveyed in a row for packaging and the weight of each package is to remain within given limits. The method includes counting a number of contiguous objects in the row, forming groups of objects each having the counted number of objects, determining the length of each respective group in the direction of the row, bringing each respective group to a balance scale only if the group has a length within predetermined limits, measuring the weight of each respective group and rejecting a group if its weights lies below a given weight value.

摘要: A conveyor apparatus is divided into a plurality of end-to-end arranged conveyor tracks to advance flat items, in an edgewise upstanding, face-to-face engaging orientation to an item processing machine situated downstream of the conveyor apparatus. Each conveyor track is separately driven and is associated with a sensor which detects the extent of inclination of the items on the respective conveyor track. The drive of any individual conveyor track is de-energized if the items situated thereon assume an orientation having a steepness of predetermined extent and if, at the same time, the item processing machine and the drives of all conveyor tracks situated downstream of the individual conveyor track are at a standstill. Further, the drive of any individual conveyor track is energized and maintained energized if the items situated thereon assume a steepness less than the predetermined extent, or if the drive of any of the downstream-situated conveyor tracks or the item processsing machine is energized or is in an energized state.

摘要: Heating apparatus for thermally bonding thermoplastic foil layers to produce a longitudinally welded seam. The heating apparatus comprises an elongated jaw element having a work surface for receiving the thermoplastic foils, at least two heating elements located within the jaw element and at least one temperature sensor associated with each of the heating elements. A control device is coupled to each of the heating elements and its respective temperature sensor to maintain the temperature of the jaw element at a value which will result in bonding of the foil layers. A regulating device is coupled to the control devices and to the temperature sensors for selectively operating the control devices to switch the heating elements in accordance with the temperature detected by the temperature sensor.

摘要: An integrated solar roofing system for installation on a roof surface and for converting solar energy into electrical energy. The system comprises a first row of photovoltaic (PV) roofing tiles having a plurality of electrically interconnected PV cells. The roofing tiles comprise a first tab that extends from the tile base and has at least one mounting hole. The first tab exposes a first electrically conductive material on the first side of the first tab. The roofing tiles further comprise a second tab located on the second side of the tile base and having at least one mounting hole extending through the second tab and tile base. The second tab exposes a second electrically conductive material on the second side of the tile base. The first tab of each roofing tile in the first row is at least partially superposed over the second tab of an adjacent roofing tile aligning the mounting holes so that the roofing tiles are in electrical series communication along the first row. The system further comprises a second row of PV roofing tiles partially overlapping the first row such that the first and second tabs of the first row are concealed.

摘要: Stacks of flat items, such as cookies, are formed by conveying the items in successive pockets along a conveying path and moving vertical rod assemblies parallel to the conveying path but at a different speed from the pockets so as to cause the rods to engage items in each pocket and push them onto items in an adjacent pocket, whereby each rod assembly forms a stack of progressively increasing height as the pockets and rod assemblies travel along a common path.
