The cable management devices may be easily mounted on support surfaces, e.g., a roof or a frame rail, to lock electrical wiring in place and prevent contact with external structures. Furthermore, the cable management devices may be fabricated from low-cost and weather-resistant materials, e.g., spring wire or recycled automobile tires.

摘要: In one aspect, the invention is a system for installing solar shingles on a slanted roof, the system, which includes a roofing underlayment on top of the roof and providing mechanical and electrical connection for solar shingles. The system also includes a plurality of rectangular solar shingles, each shingle with a top edge and a bottom edge. A plurality of shingle support brackets rise from the underlayment, with at least some of the brackets having a first channel opening generally downward and at least some others of the brackets having a second channel opening generally upward. In the system, the top edge of each shingle is received into the first channel of at least one bracket and the bottom edge of each shingle is received into the second channel of at least one other bracket. The depth of the first channel is great enough to allow the top edge of a shingle to be inserted far enough for the bottom edge to align with a second channel, and to allow the bottom edge of the shingle to fall into the second channel while the top edge is still retained by the first channel.

摘要: A roof mount assembly mounts a structure to a roof having a rafter and a substrate supported by the rafter. The roof mount assembly includes a piece of flashing positioned on the substrate. The flashing includes a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface and an aperture extending through the flashing. A fastener extends through the flashing aperture. A bracket is connected to the flashing via the fastener, and the bracket is sized to support at least one roof-mounted structure on the roof. A seal is positioned between the flashing aperture and the fastener. The seal is sized to form a water-tight seal with the aperture to inhibit flow of fluid through the aperture. The seal includes a first portion and a second portion, in which the first portion is positioned to abut the flashing first surface and the second portion is positioned to extend through the aperture.

摘要: A waterproof connecting structure is used in coordination with a solar panel array in order to construct a vertical wall or a rooftop panel of a building. The waterproof connecting structure comprises two half components and a connecting component. The two half components are disposed between the two solar panels. The connecting component covers a joint between the two half components so that rainwater flowed into a conduit passage formed by each of the half components is guided out. Thereby, the rainwater is prevented from infiltrating into a building.

摘要: A folded down support (12) allows for stronger solar panels (10) and the support replaces most of the solar racking required for solar installation which further reduces the cost of the photovoltaic solar system. The solar panels (10) can be arranged so that solar panels form a solar collector solar panel array. The solar panel (10) can be set on a surface by itself or with ballast (43). It can also be attached to the surface by fastening the solar panel to the side supports. If the solar panel frame and supports are electrically conductive, the design allows for self electrical grounding between these conductive parts when the side supports are pivoted to the down position. The folded up support allows for high density storage and shipping.

More specifically, the apparatus includes a base plate that is secured to the roof beneath various shapes of tiles on the tile roof and a generally L-shaped bracket that is then coupled to a rail support guide.
