    摘要: It is an object of the present invention to prevent deterioration of a transparent electrically-conductive film which forms display electrodes, so as to enhance the reliability of display electrodes. In an AC type plasma display panel including a plurality of display electrodes X & Y formed of a transparent electrically-conductive film or a multiple layer of a transparent electrically-conductive film plus a metal film a width of which is narrower therethan, and a dielectric layer to cover the display electrodes from the discharge space, the dielectric layer is formed by the use of a ZnO-containing glass material containing substantially none of lead. Moreover, the display electrodes are protected by coating the dielectric layer so far as the ends of display electrodes; and the coating is removed afterwards by etching, etc.

    摘要: A screen printing method and apparatus for forming a predetermined pattern film, particularly phosphor material stripes for a plasma display panel, and which facilitates design of the screen mask and provides a measure for change of printing conditions, size error due to enlargement or reduction in size of the screen or change of specifications. The method prints printing material on a printing surface using a screen which is extended over a frame and has apertures corresponding to the printing pattern, and includes the steps of applying an external pressure to the frame from at least one side surface to deform the frame, and printing the printing material on the printing surface via the apertures under the condition that size of the apertures has been changed. The apparatus includes a screen having the apertures in the shape corresponding to the printing pattern, a frame for supporting the screen with a predetermined tension, and a device for applying pressure to at least one side surface of the frame.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a flat display panel having first and second substrates assembled in spaced relationship with a gap therebetween and joined together by a band of sealing material, formed in a frame configuration which may be rectangular, on the surface of the first substrate and adhering the first and second substrates together. A paste of the sealing material is dispensed from a nozzle moved along a route from a starting point displaced the frame configuration, thereby forming a starting segment extending from the starting point to the frame, along the route of the rectangular frame configuration and forming a central segment, and from the frame and to the ending point thereby forming an ending segment integral with the central segment, the ending point being displaced from the frame configuration and from the starting point. In one embodiment, the starting and ending segments are tapered, from smaller dimensions at the starting and ending points to greater dimensions, common with the central segment dimensions, and angularly cross each other in overlapped relationship at intermediate positions along the lengths thereof so as to be joined together, at a location displaced from the frame. In another embodiment, the starting and ending segments are displaced laterally so as to extend in parallel and spaced relationship and are joined together by fusing of their contiguous side surfaces.
