    摘要: Provided are a method of manufacturing a polarizing film, in which time for dyeing can be shortened, and the productivity of polarizing films with few dyeing unevenness can be heightened, and a poly (vinyl alcohol)-based resin for a polarizing film. The method of manufacturing a polarizing film according to the present invention includes the steps of: preparing a poly (vinyl alcohol)-based resin film formed by using a poly (vinyl alcohol)-based resin having a saponification degree of 94 to 98.5 mol % obtained in accordance with JIS K6726 and a polymerization degree of 2500 to 3000; and obtaining a polarizing film using the poly (vinyl alcohol) -based resin film; and the poly (vinyl alcohol)-based resin for a polarizing film according to the present invention is a poly (vinyl alcohol)-based resin having a saponification degree of 94 to 98.5 mol % measured in accordance with JIS K6726 and a polymerization degree of 2500 to 3000.
