摘要: An adhesive tape includes a substrate [I] and an adhesive agent layer of a polyester adhesive agent provided on at least one of opposite surfaces of the substrate [I]. The substrate [I] is one selected from a polyolefin resin foam substrate, a urethane resin foam substrate, and an acrylic resin foam substrate. The polyester adhesive agent is made from a polyester adhesive agent composition [II] which contains a polyester resin (A) having a weight average molecular weight of 5,000 to 300,000, and having a structural unit derived from a polyol and a structural unit derived from a polyvalent carboxylic acid compound containing an aromatic structure-containing compound in a proportion of not greater than 80 mol %. The adhesive tape is excellent in adherence between a polyester adhesive agent layer and a polyolefin resin foam substrate, a urethane resin foam substrate, or an acrylic resin foam substrate.

摘要: A suspended-particle device with improved adhesion between the active and conductive layers is disclosed. The conductive layers are coated with an adhesion promoter that comprises at least one organosilane that covalently bonds to the surface of the conductive layer and comprises a cross-linkable moiety such as an acrylate. The active layer comprises a suspension of active particles in a polymer matrix that comprises a polymer having pendant cross-linkable moieties such as acrylates. Upon curing (e.g. by irradiation by ultraviolet light), the polymer matrix of the active layer cross-links with the cross-linkable moieties of the adhesion promoter, thereby binding the active and conductive layers.

These methods can include the steps of disposing an adhesive layer on a bonding surface of either substrate, the adhesive layer comprising a curable composition that is dimensionally stable at ambient conditions; either before or after disposing the adhesive layer on the bonding surface, irradiating the adhesive layer with ultraviolet radiation to initiate curing of the curable composition; placing one substrate so as to be bonded to the other substrate by the adhesive layer; and allowing the adhesive layer to cure.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a battery cell stack according to exemplary embodiments of the present invention includes an application step of spraying an adhesive resin composition on one surface of a battery cell in one direction by a plurality of nozzles, wherein the nozzles are disposed in a direction different from the one direction, and at least two nozzles of the plurality of nozzles apply the adhesive resin composition in amounts different from each other. Thereby, the adhesive resin composition is applied to one surface of a non-flat battery cell, and the application amount is controlled according to portions to be applied, so that the one surface may bring into contact with another surface of another battery cell adhered thereon over an entire area in which the adhesive resin composition is applied.

摘要: The present invention comprises a single-component binder for heat-sealing applications which can be used for the sealing of polyester foils, in particular of polyethylene terephthalate foils (PET foils) with respect to containers made of polystyrene, of PVC, and of polyester. These polyesters can in particular be polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or polylactic acid (PLA). The binders here feature not only good seal seam strengths but also in particular good transparency and excellent application properties. A substantive aspect of the invention is that the sealing can be achieved without addition of adhesion promoters, in particular without addition of adhesion promoters based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or on polyester, and that barrier properties and sealing properties achieved in respect of containers made of PS and of PET are nevertheless at least comparable with, and sometimes better than, those achieved with heat-sealing systems already marketed.

摘要: Optically clear curable adhesive films that are heat conformable prior to setting include a reactive composition. The curable films are flexible and free-standing, and have a complex viscosity of greater than 100,000 poise (10,000 Pascal seconds) at 25° C. and less than 100 poise (10 Pascal seconds) at 85° C., prior to setting. The set film has an adhesive shear strength of greater than 100 Newtons per square centimeter (N/cm2) to a glass substrate when measured according to the Shear Adhesion Test Method. The reactive composition includes an ethylenically unsaturated polyester-containing oligomeric composition that is the reaction product of a saturated, amorphous co-polyester polyol and a compound with a terminal polyol-reactive group and a terminal ethylenically unsaturated group, a (meth)acrylate functional material, and at least one initiator.
