Abstract: A process for preparing a polymer in the form of an aqueous dispersion or a water-redispersible powder includes free-radically initiated heterophase polymerization of one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers and optionally subsequent drying of the polymer dispersions obtained, wherein the polymerization is performed in a jet loop reactor.
