The bottle includes a neck (8) defining an opening and the lid includes a closure plate (32), integral with which is a depending skirt (18) extending around the outer surface of the neck. The said one side surface of the annular flange includes an annular portion which extends downwardly and inwardly and is in contact with a corresponding annular portion on the surface of the annular protuberance (52).

    摘要: A closure for a multiple component container includes an insert (12), a piston (20) and a cap (10). The insert (12) and the piston (20) define a reservoir and the insert (12) comprises a fixed cylindrical wall (26) and a movable wall (32) connected thereto and movable with respect thereto by the action of gas pressure within the reservoir. The movable wall (32) has a discharge aperture (36) formed therein. The cap (10) comprises a closure plate (14), integral with whose outer edge is a depending skirt (16), by means of which the cap may be secured to a container. The closure plate (14) cooperates with the piston (20) such that movement of the closure plate towards the insert (12) results in movement of the piston also in the same direction. The piston (20) forms a sliding seal with the internal surface of the fixed cylindrical wall (26). A valve member (22) is integral with, the piston (20) and is slidably received in and seals the discharge aperture (36).

A movable portion (24) of flexible material is integrally connected to the diaphragm (22). The upper end of the 10 movable portion, which may be in the form of a tube (24) or pocket (3), is open and communicates with the gas reservoir and the other end is substantially closed and has a gas charge/discharge orifice (28) formed in it. The movable portion is connected to the remainder of the diaphragm by at least one pair of fold lines of opposite sense. When the closure is applied to a container, the gas charge/discharge orifice (28) is above the liquid level. The headspace of the container and the reservoir (22) are filled with pressurised gas and when the pressure is released the pressure differential across the movable portion results in rotation about the fold lines with the result that the movable portion moves away from the closure plate so that the gas charge/discharge orifice is situated beneath the liquid surface and the pressurised gas in the gas reservoir (22) is injected into the liquid in the container.

    摘要: A drinking cap constitutes a one-piece moulding of polymeric material including a first circular section tubular portion (2) for connection to the mouth of a beverage container and a second smaller circular section tubular portion (6) situated at least partially within the first tubular portion. The first tubular portion is connected to the second tubular portion by a resilient, annular, integral web (4), in which one or more flow openings (18) are formed. The first and second tubular portion (2, 6) are coaxial and relatively movable in the axial direction between an open position, in which the flow openings (18) are unobstructed, and a closed position, in which the sealing flange (20) is in sealing engagement with the internal surface of the first tubular portion (2). The flow openings (18) are thus prevented from communicating with the atmosphere. When the cap is in the closed position, the free edge of the first sealing flange (20) forms a substantially line seal with the internal surface of the first tubular portion (2).
