Abstract:
The present invention is directed toward an improved construction of an elastic drawstring trash bag. The elastic drawstring trash bag described herein is comprised of a plastic bag made from two panels. An elastic drawstring is provided within hems running along the top of the two panels. The upper opening of the elastic drawstring bag is reduced (when the bag is in a relaxed state) by decreasing the distance between the interior edges of the short seals used to weld the drawstrings and bag together. Like an ordinary non-elastic drawstring bag, the elastic drawstring is pulled through access cutouts centrally located along the upper edge of the bag. When the bag of the present invention is in a relaxed state, the reduced upper opening width of the elastic drawstring bag is therefore less than bag proper width, allowing a consumer to pull the elastic drawstring bag over the lip of a trash receptacle and allowing the elastic drawstrings to snugly fit around the trash can.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to polymeric bags, particularly polymeric drawstring trash bags. The present invention comprises a trash bag having an elastic drawstring. The elastic drawstring trash bag features a short seal and an inner seal at each upper corner of the drawstring trash bag. The short seal and inner seal are separated by a small unsealed area. The inner seal serves to reduce the upper opening of the drawstring trash bag, while the elastic drawstring utilized with the bag provides a bag that allows the bag to fit snugly on many common trash receptacles.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a polymeric bag having an elastic portion extending generally across the width of the bag, wherein the elastic portion has a lower modulus of elasticity than the remainder of the bag. The bag is primarily comprised of a first polymer blend while the elastic portion is comprised of a second polymer blend.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a drawstring trash bag having drawstring access holes with increased width and a method for producing drawstring trash bags having drawstring access holes with increased widths.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a system and method for providing a sensory experience for a consumer. The present invention contemplates product packaging containing a retail product that has one or more characteristic surfaces. A sample is affixed to the exterior surface of the product packaging to provide a user with an illustrative simulation or representation of the characteristics of the retail product such as textures or patterns.
Abstract:
A fitting and an associated grommet are provided for supporting a conduit penetrating a panel and limiting energy transfer between the conduit and panel. The fitting may include a grommet having annular first and second sections spaced apart from one another and an annular wall extending between the first and second sections such that the wall and first and second sections define a bore. A plurality of ribs protrude from the annular wall, the ribs being distributed circumferentially around the annular wall and spanning between the first and second sections. A tubular liner extends through the bore of the grommet and contacts the first and second sections. The plurality of ribs extend into the bore, and at least some of the ribs contact the liner.
Abstract:
A nasal and pharyngeal spray solution for use in spraying into the nose and mouth to protect the mucosa from noxious viruses, bacteria and fungi and excessive drying, in situations of high risk, such as the cabins of commercial aircraft, comprises a saline solution of Proanthocyanidins and ascorbic acid. The “fresh mix” delivery system is an appropriately closed, sterile, oxygen-excluding, pressurized container.
