摘要: Implementations of the disclosure relate to tea bags that are splitable into multiple self-contained smaller portions. Smaller quantities of tea leaves are individually sealed in compartments of a tea bag with a mechanism for splitting built into the tea bag. In one embodiment, the mechanism for splitting can be pre-formed perforations along an axis of symmetry. The perforations can also be along some asymmetrical axis to divide the tea bag into inequal smaller portions. In some embodiments, the mechanism for splitting may not involve a tear, but just a separation of the smaller portions by imparting slight force by hand.

摘要: In a method and apparatus for producing a small pouch with a predetermined amount of particulate material therein, a predetermined amount of the particulate material is portioned from a bulk supply and compacted into a single discrete caplet. The caplet is then deposited into an open hollow pouch closed at one end thereof, and the open end is then closed with the caplet between the closed ends of the pouch. The caplet in the pouch is then compressed to return it to its particulate form. The particulate material may be granular or shredded tobacco.

The shaping steps of the first and the second sheet envisage moistening at least a first portion of the first sheet and a second portion of said second sheet, configuring the first and the second portion so as to make the first and the second concave portion and drying the first and the second concave portion.

摘要: Forming a cardboard blank includes making two score lines on a cardboard sheet to define a central sector with three portions and two lateral sectors. Four cuts are made in a direction transverse to the score lines to form in one lateral sector a first closing flap and first and second reinforcing flaps and, in the other lateral sector, a second closing flap and third and fourth reinforcing flaps. The first and second closing flaps are folded at respective score lines, and one portion folded to cover a flank of an article on another portion so the first and third reinforcing flaps project. A third portion is folded to cover another flank and an upper article face so the second and fourth reinforcing flaps project. A band folds the first two reinforcing flaps towards the first closing flap and the third and fourth reinforcing flaps towards the second closing flap.

摘要: The disclosure provides an automated container resizing apparatus and system, an automated method of resizing a container, and a cutting tool that can be used for the resizing. In one example, the system includes the cutting tool, a controller, a conveyor, and a moveable support that can be a robotic arm. The controller can operate the conveyor to position a container in a cutting zone. The dimensions of the box and product fill height within the container are obtained and translated by the controller into a programmed cutting pattern. The controller then operates the robotic arm to perform the programmed cutting pattern on the box with the cutting tool. The cutting tool can be mounted on the robotic arm that rotates about its axis to cut side walls of the container for resizing.

摘要: An actuator system for fabricating a cavity within thermoplastic material includes a plurality of actuators arranged in an array. When dimensions of an item are determined, the actuator system may be programmed with data regarding such dimensions to fabricate a cavity for the item. A subset of the actuators, and distances by which each of the actuators is to be extended, may be selected based on dimensions of the item, in order to fabricate a cavity within the thermoplastic material that may accommodate the item therein. Additionally, the actuators and the distances may be selected based on intrinsic or extrinsic data regarding the item, and a cavity fabricated within the thermoplastic material may include one or more buffer zones or protective regions that are specifically formed with respect to aspects of the item.
