    摘要： The present invention is directed to non-disruptive generation of core files for a computer appliance without rebooting the computer appliance. In an embodiment of the invention, the computer appliance is analyzed. A determination is made as to what core file generation options will be non-disruptive to the computer appliance. The tradeoff is evaluated between options that will generate core files which are more useful in diagnosing potential problems with the computer appliance and options which will generate core files which are less disruptive. A procedure is determined which will generate the core file without disrupting the computer appliance. Resources are allocated to utilize in generation of the core file. The procedure is then executed and a core file is generated without disrupting the computer appliance.

    摘要： An optical sensor comprises a device for monitoring the angular motion of a remote body about three orthogonal axes from a single observation point. A compact totally passive target is adapted to be attached to the body, the angular motion of which is to be sensed. The target reflects light beams representing pitch, yaw and roll measurement functions. The reflected light beams are optically sensed and reduced to components about the pitch, yaw and roll axes which are visually displayed through a single eyepiece.

In one embodiment, a support collateral is automatically generated when a core file is generated. The support collateral is information used to support diagnosis of potential problems. A computer appliance further includes a framework of rules organized by a subsystem. A subsystem is a functional component of the computer appliance. Rules are evaluated when an inflection point is encountered. An inflection point is a critical point in processing where processing is interrupted. A core file is generated for the computer appliance when indicated to do so by a rule.

Placed forward and in front of the first polarized filter is a second linear polarized filter substantially the size of the hole in the first polarized filter and is held in place by a clear lens. The polarization may be adjusted. In response to light collocated with an objective lens shined through the first polarizing filter, the light become polarized. The reflected polarized light returns through the second polarized filter, and full polarization is accomplished with respect to the viewing camera.

    摘要： A resilient EMI shielding and/or environmental sealing gasket for interposition between a first interface surface and an oppositely-disposed second interface surface. The gasket is formed of an elongate body of indefinite length which extends along a longitudinal axis. The body includes base and apex surfaces, and opposing first and second lateral surfaces which extend intermediate the base and apex surfaces. The base surface itself extends along the length the body as configured for proximally supporting the gasket on the first interface surface. The apex surface, in turn, extends radially from the longitudinal axis for distal contact with the second interface surface, and further extends along the longitudinal axis as defining a first waveform profile characterized as having a first periodic series of alternating first high and low amplitude intervals. The second lateral surface also extends along the longitudinal axis as defining a second waveform profile which is disposed generally transverse to the first waveform profile and which is similarly characterized as having a second periodic series of alternating second high and low amplitude intervals. The gasket so formed is deformable under a predetermined compressive force between the first and second interface surfaces into a stressed orientation characterized in that the body is deflected intermediate the base and apex surfaces.
