An air moving device is used to circulate air through both of the stacked coil sections. 摘要: A compact evaporator including a suction baffle system is provided for use in a refrigeration system. The suction baffle system includes a suction baffle and a passageway. The suction baffle includes a plurality of walls and is adjacent to the interior wall of shell. The passageway extends below one of the walls of the suction baffle toward the lower portion of the shell and is adjacent to the interior wall of the shell. A suction tube having an inlet is attached to the evaporator shell and the inlet is adjacent to the passageway and located partially below the suction baffle. The passageway minimizes the possibility of liquid carry-over in the suction tube that feeds into the compressor.

摘要: A compressor muffler includes a housing having an inlet end and an outlet end. A baffle arrangement extends from an interior surface of the housing. The baffle arrangement includes a surface capable of reflecting compressed fluid to attenuate noise. A valve assembly is disposed inside the baffle arrangement. The valve assembly is positionable between a first position and a second position. The valve assembly also includes a valve surface that at least partially prevents flow of fluid through the housing from the outlet end when the valve assembly is in the first position.

摘要: A compact evaporator including a suction baffle system is provided for use in a refrigeration system. The suction baffle system includes a suction baffle and a passageway. The suction baffle includes a plurality of walls and is adjacent to the interior wall of shell. The passageway extends below one of the walls of the suction baffle toward the lower portion of the shell and is adjacent to the interior wall of the shell. A suction tube having an inlet is attached to the evaporator shell and the inlet is adjacent to the passageway and located partially below the suction baffle. The passageway minimizes the possibility of liquid carry-over in the suction tube that feeds into the compressor.

摘要: A flash tank configuration for an economizer is provided that is inexpensive and simple to construct, reliable to operate, and efficient for use in an economizer compression refrigeration system. The configuration includes an upper baffle and a lower baffle configured and arranged within the flash tank so as to separate the liquid and gas phases of intermediate pressure refrigerant, and to convey each phase to other components in the refrigeration systems. The flash tank has a generally cylindrical shape, and is dimensioned so as to provide adequate internal volume for expansion of refrigerant to a desired pressure, separation of the resulting refrigerant gas and refrigerant liquid phases, and temporary storage of the refrigerant phases before conveying the liquid phase to the main refrigerant line between the condenser and the evaporator, and returning the gas phase to the compressor. Additionally, methods are provided for using the flash tank to separate refrigerant phases.
