Abstract:
An electronic payment platform is modified to support merchant loyalty programs by implementing a database and user interfaces for both merchant and consumer participation. As transactions are processed, the electronic payment platform evaluates each transaction to determine if the consumer, and more particularly the payment instrument used in the transaction, is registered. If so, and the merchant is currently offering an award based on satisfying certain criteria, the current transaction data is added to previous qualifying transactions to determine if an award should be granted. If so, the electronic payment platform manages distribution of funds to a designated payment instrument of the consumer.
Abstract:
An energy absorbing panel assembly for the interior of a motor vehicle is disclosed. The energy absorbing panel assembly, typically the knee bolster panel adjacent the steering wheel, includes an energy absorbing structure integrally molded to the panel. The energy absorbing structure includes three outer side walls and a top wall. The outer side walls extend from the same side of the top wall to the panel. Extending from the top wall to the panel is at least one top wall supporting rib. The rib is positioned between the outer side walls. Ordinarily at least two such ribs will be provided. At least one of the outer walls is at an obtuse angle relative to the plane of the top wall. All three of the outer walls may be at an obtuse angle relative to the plane of the top wall. In addition to the one or more ribs extending from the top wall to the panel between the outer side walls one or more outer wall-supporting ribs may also be provided extending between the outer side walls and intersecting the top wall supporting rib. Lateral supports may be provided between the outer side walls and the panel.
Abstract:
A protein containing one or more activatable groups, e.g., an antibody, is subjected to partial or complete reduction of one or more such bonds to form reactive groups; the resulting protein is reacted with a drug which is reactive with some of the reactive groups, such as certain radiometals, chelating agents, and toxins, so as to form a conjugate useful in, e.g., in vitro diagnosis, in vivo imaging, and therapy.
Abstract:
A heat dissipation system for use with a computer chip includes a heat sink with a fan mounted aslant to the lateral side thereof. The heat sink includes a base having a first surface and a second surface. The computer chip is positioned in contact with the first surface. A heat dissipation unit is mounted on the second surface of the base. The heat dissipation unit includes a plurality of heat dissipation fins. An air-conducting device has a shape of an inverted U and is used to cover the heat dissipation unit. A fan is mounted aslant to a lateral side of the heat dissipation unit. The heat dissipation unit includes a plurality of rectangular dissipation fins. The fins are mutually parallel and are collocated above the base. The heat dissipation unit includes a predetermined number of heat dissipation fins having a common inclination to form an accommodating area on the lateral side of the heat dissipation unit. The fan is mounted aslant to the lateral side of the heat dissipation unit in the accommodating area.
Abstract:
An injection molding apparatus and method are provided. The method includes a molded cavity coupled to a resin injection apparatus which injects molten resin under pressure with a gas such that the resin foams within the mold cavity. An electrical heater is in contact with a first cavity surface, and a cooling medium cools the mold. The resin may include metallic flakes.

Abstract:
Pursuant to some embodiments, garments and methods of making such garments are provided in which the garment includes an outer panel the outer panel having a fastening mechanism formed therein, the outer panel providing a first viewable surface when the fastening mechanism is in a first position. The garment further includes an integrated panel attached to at least one of (i) at least a first major seam along an interior surface of the outer panel, and (ii) the interior surface of the outer panel, the integrated panel providing a second viewable surface when the fastening mechanism is in a second position.

Abstract:
Methods for the treatment of CD30-expressing cancers are provided. The methods comprise administering to a subject in need thereof a weekly dose of from about 0.8 mg/kg to about 1.8 mg/kg of an antibody-drug conjugate compound having formula (I); or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; wherein: mAb is an anti-CD30 antibody unit, S is a sulfur atom of the antibody, A—is a Stretcher unit, and p is from about 3 to about 5.
