摘要: A mattress to support a user that includes a core positioned within an interior space formed by a cover. The cover protects the core from damage that could result from contact with liquid or debris. A vent extends through the cover to allow airflow into and out of the interior space. The vent 40 includes a plurality of pores that allow the airflow, but limit ingress of liquid and debris.

摘要: A system and method for securely passing a data portion of a packet between a sending unit and a receiving unit, the method having the steps of: creating a unique table at both the sending and receiving units based on data from both; removing the white spaces of the data portion of the packet, resulting in a manipulated packet having a manipulated voice portion and header portion; forming a string using the location and number of white spaces removed and the unique table; scrambling the manipulated data portion using the string; passing the scrambled packet from the sending unit to the receiving unit; passing the string in a separate message; descrambling the scrambled packet; and adding white spaces removed in the removing step by utilizing the string and the unique table to add the correct number of white spaces in the descrambled data portion, thereby recreating the packet.

摘要: The invention classifies volumes (e.g., file systems or LUNs) of a data storage system according to application requirements and allocates space for the volumes on storage devices (e.g., hard disk drives) accordingly. A person such as an IT administrator configures the volumes specifying size, type (e.g., file system or SAN LUN), and priority (e.g., high, medium, low, or archive). The host schedules I/O requests to the storage devices in priority queues using the volume definition to match the application requirements and reduce storage seek time between volumes of different priorities. The host also allocates high performance bands of the storage devices to high performance applications and lower performance bands to lower performance applications. In this manner, the data storage system places data on the band of the storage device that best supports its performance needs.

摘要: A mattress to support a user that includes a body pillow contained within a cover. The body may include first and second sides that are both configured to support the user. The body may also include a height measured between the first and second sides. The pillow may also include first and second sides that are both configured to support the user's head and neck. The pillow includes a height measured between these first and second sides that may be larger than the height of the body. The pillow may also include one or more chamfers. A cover may form an interior space to contain the body and the pillow. The cover may be sized to position the pillow outward from an end of the body in a non-overlapping arrangement.

摘要: A system and method for automatically determining state ranges for data displayed on a display medium is disclosed. At least one metric relating to an object within a problem set is selected. Range parameters used in generating state ranges for each selected metric are specified. The range parameters include the number of state ranges for each metric and at least one statistical model. Data reflecting the values of each selected metric is input and analyzed using the range parameters, resulting in at least one state range for each of the selected metrics and statistical models. The statistical model that provides the best fit to the data is selected. The state ranges for the selected metrics and statistical model are output for use by a display medium that displays data relating to the selected metrics as a graphical representation of a state of the object to which the metric relates.

摘要: The present invention relates to systems and methods for configuring a data storage system. One method adds a Fibre Channel device to the loop by beaconing first and second ports, displaying instructions to connect a cable, receiving an indication the cable is connected, enabling the first port, initiating a LIP, and verifying whether the cable is connected. Another method removes a Fibre Channel device from the loop by beaconing the second port, bypassing the first port, initiating a LIP, beaconing the first port, displaying instructions for disconnecting the cable, and receiving an indication the cable is disconnected. A system includes means for displaying instructions to add a Fibre Channel device on the loop and a management controller for beaconing first and second ports, displaying instructions to connect a cable, receiving an indication that the cable is connected, enabling the first port, initiating a LIP, and verifying whether the cable is connected properly. Another system includes means for displaying instructions to remove a Fibre Channel device from the loop and a management controller programmed for beaconing the second port, bypassing the first port, initiating a LIP, beaconing the first port, displaying instructions to disconnect a cable, receiving an indication that the cable is disconnected, and verifying whether the cable is disconnected.
