摘要: A method for security for inter-RAT carrier aggregation is disclosed. The method includes encrypting a message using an encryption technique for a first RAT. The method also includes sending, to a UE, at least a portion of the encrypted message using a different, second RAT. Sending using the second RAT does not further encrypt the at least a portion of the encrypted message. The method further includes receiving the at least a portion of the message encrypted using the first RAT protocol. Receiving uses the second, different RAT. The method also includes decrypting the at least a portion of the message using the first RAT protocol. Apparatus and computer readable media are also described.

摘要: A method includes transmitting, from a radio device of a secondary communication system, a signal into a channel of a primary communication system; monitoring channel signal quality-related feedback of the primary system; determining, based on the monitored channel signal quality-related feedback, an amount of mutual coupling between the transmitted signal and the channel, if any, caused by the transmitted signal; and if the amount of determined mutual coupling is less than a threshold amount, using the channel for communication with another radio device of the secondary communication system. The signal that is transmitted may be a probing signal having at least a predetermined temporally varying transmission pattern, and where determining includes correlating at least the predetermined temporally varying transmission pattern with changes, if any, in the monitored channel signal quality-related feedback. The channel signal quality-related feedback that is monitored may include at least one of ACK/NACK feedback, power control feedback, rate control feedback and channel quality indicator feedback.

摘要: This document describes an apparatus for providing an advance indication of channels available for use by a mobile device travelling along a geographic path. The path extends across two or more cells, with each cell defining a particular set of radio channels available for use by the mobile device in that cell. The apparatus is configured to receive predicted geographic path signalling associated with prediction of the geographic path to be taken by the mobile device. The apparatus is also configured to determine radio channels available for use by the mobile device along that path. The apparatus is also configured to provide, in advance, an indication of the radio channels available for use by the mobile device along the geographic path in each respective cell along the path.

摘要: Methods, apparatus and computer program products reduce bandwidth requirements in mobile video and gaming applications by tracking a gaze fixation point of a user on a video image at a remote location; generating information identifying the gaze fixation point at the remote location; transmitting the gaze fixation point information to a source of video information over a network; determining a portion of a video image to transmit at a high resolution and a remaining portion to transmit at a low resolution using the transmitted gaze fixation point information; and transmitting the portion of the video image selected for transmission at a high resolution at the high resolution and the portion of the video image selected for transmission at a low resolution at the low resolution. Further methods, apparatus and computer program product also reduce bandwidth requirements by receiving gaze fixation point information from a remote location, wherein the gaze fixation point information indicates where in a video image a user is currently looking; selecting a portion of video images to transmit at a high resolution and a portion of video images to transmit at a low resolution using the transmitted gaze fixation point information; and transmitting the portions of the video images at the determined resolutions.

摘要: A sender and a receiver includes first and second arrays of coupled oscillators, respectively, that are substantially identically constructed so as to exhibit substantially the same dynamical response to excitation. A chaotic waveform generated at the sender is transmitted to the receiver, which generates a second chaotic waveform, and compares the received waveform with the generated second waveform. If the first and second waveforms match the sender is an authorized sender. An integrated circuit includes an array of coupled oscillators that in combination generate a waveform in response to at least one excitation signal. The array of coupled oscillators represents, in response to application of the excitation signals, a multi-dimensional security key that is shared between the sender of the waveform and the receiver of the waveform.
