    摘要: A safety valve of the invention including a cleavable groove is provided in a battery case of a sealed battery containing a power generating element inside. The cleavable groove is partly formed with a measuring groove having a width wider than other portions. Even if other portions of the cleavable groove have fairly small groove width, a groove width of the cleavable groove can be obtained and determined the quality by measuring a groove width of the measuring groove. Thereby, a safety valve and a manufacturing method thereof, a sealed battery and a manufacturing method thereof, a vehicle, and a battery mounting device are provided to achieve less variation of valve opening pressure and stable product quality, as well as reliably assure the good quality.

    摘要: A braking device for arresting an axial relative movement between a bearing, and a shaft slidably engaging the bearing and extending through a cylinder which is axially immovable to the bearing. The device comprises: an annular piston slidably received in the cylinder and slidably engaging the shaft; a brake shoe engaging the shaft axially immovably relative to the cylinder and radially contractible to apply a brake to the shaft; a resilient radial clamp member engaging the outer surface of the brake shoe, axially compressible by axial movement of the annular piston and thereby reduced in inside diameter to force the brake shoe against the surface of the shaft; and a piston driving device for moving the shaft along its axis through a controlled selective supply of a pressurized fluid to the cylinder. The piston driving device may comprise a coil spring to bias the piston to cause an axial compression of the radial clamp member, and a device for effecting the controlled supply of the fluid. The shaft may be normally arrested or released by appropriate arrangement of the piston driving device.

    摘要: A pantograph type robot arm having a linkage for connecting a movable member such as a movable welding electrode to a support member. The pantograph type robot arm includes two blocks supported by the support member movably in a direction perpendicular to a straight line, toward and away from each other in a symmetric manner with respect to the straight line. The linkage includes a pair of proximal link bars pivotally connected to the blocks such that the proximal link bars are pivotally connected to each other at their intermediate portions, and a pair of distal link bars pivotally connected to the movable member and to the proximal link bars so that the movable member is moved relative to the support member when the two blocks are moved relative to each other. A pivoting mechanism is provided in pivotal connection to one of the distal link bars of the linkage and the movable member, for effecting a relative pivotal movement of the one distal link bar and the movable member, by an angle equal to an angle of pivotal movements of the one distal link bar, in a direction opposite to a direction of the pivotal movements of the one distal link bar.
