摘要： An organopolysiloxane which generates intramolecular or intermolecular cross-linking based on dipole-dipole interaction, hydrogen bonding or ion bonding, and which is not ruptured or plastically deformed at an extension ratio no more than 15% at a temperature of 20.degree. C. under relative humidity of 65%; and a method of setting hair using the same. Hair which is set by the method retains the given shape over time, and the organoplysiloxane imparts a soft touch to the hair. In addition, the shape given by the setting treatment can be easily restored to the original shape by ordinary shampooing.

摘要： A curly hair-straightening composition is disclosed, which comprises: (A) from 1 to 20% by weight of one or more keratin-reducing substances selected from the group consisting of thioglycolic acid, thioglycolic acid derivatives, cysteine, N-acylcysteines, salts thereof, thioglyceryl alkyl ethers, mercaptoalkylamides, sulfites and hydrogensulfites; (B) one or more alcohols selected from the group consisting of monohydric alcohols having a straight-chain or branched alkyl group carrying 3 or 4 carbon atoms and dihydric or trihydric alcohols having a straight-chain or branched alkyl group having 4 to 6 carbon atoms; and (C) water; wherein the weight ratio of the component (B) to the component (C) is from 1:3 to 3:1. Further, a method for straightening curly hair by using this composition is also disclosed. The curly hair-straightening composition of the present invention can permanently and sufficiently straighten natural curly hair or frizzy hair without causing any damage on the hair.

摘要： A composition for treating keratinous fibers, which comprises:(A) A first agent containing a metal ion,(B) A second agent comprising:(B-1) An organic or inorganic compound which is capable of readily permeating into the keratinous fibers and can form water-insoluble or sparingly soluble complex together with said metal ion of component (A), and(B-2) An organic compound which cannot readily permeate into the keratinous fibers, and which reacts with said metal ion of component (A) to form a water-soluble complex, and method for treating keratinous fibers utilizing the composition.When the composition according to the present invention is used for treating keratinous fibers, it allows water-insoluble or sparingy soluble complex products to deposit inside the keratinous fibers while preventing water-insoluble or sparingly soluble complex products from depositing on the surface of the keratinous fibers. Because of this mechanism, the present composition is capable of imparting sufficient firmness and elasticity to keratinous fibers without inducing any objectionable rough or frictional feel to the touch of the hair.
