摘要: An installation for manufacturing an ultrathin foil by electrolytic deposition onto a moving cathode with eventual separation of the deposited material from the cathode is disclosed. The installation includes at least one anode having a plate perforated by a first series of orifices supplied with means of feed of electrolyte. The plate is also perforated by a second series of orifices which are suppled with means of evacuation of electrolyte. The installation of manufacturing includes the moving cathode which is comprised of a metallic belt extended taut between two parallel rolls, which are preferably horizontal. At least one of the rolls is motorized so as to cause the belt to rotate around the two rolls. A first set of the anodes is disposed facing a portion of the length of a first longitudinal run of the belt. Means of electrical connection are provided from the plate of each anode of the first set to the positive terminal of a source of continuous D.C. current. Means of electrical connection are provided from the metallic belt to the negative terminal of the source of continuous D.C. current.Means are also provided for regulating the speed of said metallic belt, the rates of feed and removal of the electrolyte, and the intensity of the electric current.

摘要: A system and method for managing legal services is disclosed. The method includes receiving a request for legal services from a member of a pre-paid legal service, collecting information from the member about a legal problem, storing the information as a record in a computer database and determining whether one of a plurality of attorneys associated with the pre-paid legal service is available to speak with the member within a predetermined period of time. The member is then assigned a position in a member queue to speak with an available attorney or if no attorney is available, the member is designated for a call-back by the pre-paid legal service at which point the member is then assigned a position in the member queue. A consultation is provided to the member by the available attorney.

摘要: At the exit from the hot rolling mill the rail temperature is reduced to a value not less than that at which the pearlite transformation begins in the rail head. From this temperature the continuously advancing rail is subjected to rapid cooling in a rapid cooling line. Subsequently the rail is cooled to ambient temperature. For a given rail head temperature at the extreme to the rapid cooling line, the length of the line, the speed of advance of the rail, and the average thermal flux density applied to the head, flange, and web of the rail are controlled so that the final mechanical properties of the rail head are obtained, although less then 60% of the cross-section of the head has undergone the austenite-pearlite transformation upon leaving the rapid cooling line, and differences in elongation between the head and the web and between the head and the flange are minimized.

摘要: At the outlet of a hot rolling mill the temperature of a hot rolled rail is reduced to a value not lower than that at which the pearlitic transformation begins in the rail head. The continuously moving rail is then rapidly cooled to below 650.degree. C. so that at least 80% of the austenite-pearlite transformation has occurred at the end of rapid cooling. The rail is then cooled to ambient temperature.

摘要: Low carbon steel (C.ltoreq.0.4%) wire rod at 800.degree.-880.degree. C. f a rolling mill is deposited in loose turns on a conveyor where it is slowly cooled until the austenite to ferrite transformation is at least 80% complete and the ferrite grain size is at lest ASTM 9 and is then rapidly cooled to 350.degree.-560.degree. C. Thereafter, the wire rod, e.g. on the conveyor or in coils, is subjected to a slow-cooling stage functioning as an overaging stage.
