摘要： Systems and methods are disclosed for network operation and information processing involving engaging users of a network. In one exemplary embodiment, there is provided a method of engaging users of a public-access network. Moreover, the method includes associating a processing component with the public-access network; transmitting a request for authorization to use the public-access network, including transmission of a specific identifier associated with the user; transmitting first data including data determined by processing software as a function of the specific identifier; and opening up a connection to the network for the user. In one or more further embodiments, the specific identifier may include or be a function of a processing component ID or the MAC address of a device associated with the user. Other exemplary embodiments may include building profiles of users who access the network based on information collected.

The exemplary system comprises a media selection optimizer which is configured to determine a directed media component based on a user profile associated, via a device identifier, with a network access device. The media selection optimizer may also utilize access point information, historic information, and access point location-centric information in its determination of the directed media component. The directed media component may then be forward to a media server which provides the corresponding directed media to the user. The directed media may comprise advertisement, coupons, video, music, or any other media which is customizable to the user.

A method includes transmitting a request for authorization to use a public-access network from a computer, including, with the request, identifier information regarding the user. Data including additional information, such as a terms and conditions page, a splash page, relevant information based on user-specific information such as user location, and other like information is then transmitted over the network. The data to be transmitted is determined by processing software as a function of the identifier information regarding the user. A network connection is then opened up for the user of the computer.

摘要： Systems and methods for polishing a substrate with reduced contamination are described. Moist air is directed to one or more surfaces in proximity to the polishing surface and exposed to airborne slurry particles generated during polishing. By maintaining the atmosphere in the vicinity of the exposed surfaces at an elevated relative humidity level, airborne slurry particles adhering to the exposed surfaces remain in suspension and, therefore, may be easily cleaned, e.g., during a high pressure rinse cycle. This feature reduces the likelihood that slurry particles will accumulate on exposed surfaces of the polishing apparatus and flake off while a substrate is being polished, reducing the likelihood of substrate defects caused by such slurry contamination.

摘要： A spiral wound fuse body comprises a core of insulating material formed by a limp, dead yarn made of twisted together initially sizing-coated strands of fine ceramic filaments, where the sizing was subsequently removed so that there is no sizing to leave a conductive residue under fuse blowing conditions. Such a fuse body is mass produced by spiral winding fuse wire upon a continuous length of said yarn unwinding from a spool upon which the yarn was wound when the sizing was removed. The resulting self-supporting body can be wound into rolls and subsequently unwound so that individual fuse bodies can be severed from the end of the unwinding roll of fuse body-forming material.

One or more polishing heads are coupled to the drive system for retaining a workpiece during polishing. A first enclosure is disposed on the first side of the base and defines a first volume that includes the drive system. A second enclosure is disposed on the second side of the base and defines a second volume. A first exhaust is coupled to the second volume. When the system is coupled to a facilities exhaust or other air handler, the first exhaust ventilates the second volume. In another aspect, a method for processing a substrate is also disclosed. Generally, the method includes the steps of monitoring the flow metrics of a first exhaust from a first enclosure and a second exhaust from a second enclosure. If the flow metrics fall outside a predetermined processing window, a step of polishing the substrate is stopped.
