An input winding couples each of the high and low impedance flux paths and one output winding couples the high impedance flux path and another output winding couples the low impedance flux path. The two output windings are series connected and when a sinusoidal signal is applied to the input winging it results in a square wave output signal across both series connected output windings.

A multielement capacitor circuit for providing frequency mixing and voltage stepdown functions. One embodiment comprises a three element capacitor circuit where a first AC input signal is applied to the two outer capacitor plates and a second AC input signal is applied to the center capacitor plate and to one of the outer capacitor plates. Also, load resistors may be placed in series with the two input signals or in parallel with the second AC input signal. A variable voltage stepdown function is obtained across only one of the load resistors by physically changing the spacing of the center capacitor plate with respect to the two outer capacitor plates. The mixed frequency signal is obtained across any one of the load resistors. Another embodiment comprises a four element capacitor circuit.

A magnetic control device comprising a magnetic structure having four openings forming an approximately square configuration. An input winding and an output winding are both coupled with the pair of openings along one diagonal of the square and a control winding is coupled with the pair of openings along the other diagonal of the square. An AC control signal, that is synchronized with an AC input signal, saturates the area around each of its associated openings which restricts the flux path available to the flux induced by the input signal. Varying the amplitude of the control signal varies the volume that flux induced by the input signal may occupy and therefore varies the current induced into the output winding. Other embodiments include NOR and NAND logic circuits that are derived from this basic magnetic control device.

A fuel composed of water, a compound in which free radicals have been generated and a solute that stabilizes the free radicals while the fuel is in the liquid state but which releases the free radicals when the fuel is sprayed (vaporized) so that the free radicals then dissociate the water to form hydrogen gas in sufficient concentration to support combustion. The most readily available compounds in which free radicals can be generated to provide the fuel are hydrocarbons and carbohydrates. Free radicals may be generated in solids (e.g., sugar) by charring and grinding the sugar then mixing with acid. Free radicals may be generated in liquids by adding an acid. Polar liquids such as alcohols, aldehydes and ketones have been found to be the most effective stabilizers.

At least two gas combustion tubes disposed in an end-to-end relationship provide an elongate combustion chamber closed at both ends. A fuel mixture admitted alternatively into each closed end is ignited for generating positive pressure pulses traveling from one end of the chamber to the other. The combustion energy at one end compressed the fuel mixture from the other to permit ignition. A standing wave thus is formed having a pressure anti-node at each of the closed ends. The combustion chamber length is fixed relative to the frequency of the alternating ignitions to produce in the chamber a standing wave having an even number of quarter wave lengths with pressure anti-nodes and velocity nodes at its ends. The wave form thus has a pressure node and velocity anti-node at its mid-point. Combustion gases are discharged at this mid-point to a storage reservoir and, from the reservoir, to the propulsion turbine. High combustion pressures effectively cancel at the pressure node discharge point to permit cancellation of pressure pulse noise from the turbine exhaust. High velocity gases discharged into the reservoir are smoothed by storage to permit delivery to the turbine at a relatively fixed and high velocity.
