摘要： A disc recliner for a seat assembly includes a fixed plate secured to a seat cushion and a rotatable plate secured to a seat back. Each of the fixed and rotatable plates has a plurality of teeth, the number of teeth not being equal. A flex spline has a plurality of teeth, the number of teeth being equal to the number of teeth on the fixed plate. A wave generator causes a portion of the teeth on the flex spline to meshingly engage with the teeth on the fixed and rotatable plates. Rotation of the wave generator causes the teeth on the flex spline which meshingly engage with the teeth on the fixed and rotatable plates to change, thereby causing the rotatable plate to rotate relative to the fixed plate, which in turn causes the seat back to pivot relative to the seat cushion.

摘要： An armrest is pivotally coupled to a seat back for movement between a stowed position and a use position. The armrest comprises a support frame and a cam. A memory mechanism is coupled to the support frame for actuation between an unlocked condition providing selective adjustment of the armrest in the use position and a locked condition for retaining memory of the use position upon pivotal movement of the armrest between the stowed position and use position. The memory mechanism includes an elongated memory bar fixedly secured to the support frame, a guide member slidably coupled to the memory bar, and a wedge plate slidably and pivotally coupled to the memory bar for movement between a slide position to allow sliding movement of the wedge plate along the memory bar and a wedge position for lockingly wedging the memory bar between the wedge plate and the guide member.

摘要： A seat assembly includes a seat cushion having a riser releasably secured to a floor. A seat back operatively coupled to the seat cushion pivots between seating and folded positions. A recliner is coupled between the seat back and seat cushion. Rotation of an input shaft actuates the recliner between locked and unlocked states. A lockout mechanism controls actuation of the recliner and includes a lock plate fixedly secured to the input shaft and a lock arm operatively coupled to the riser. The lock arm moves between a retracted position allowing rotation of the input shaft and actuation of the recliner when the riser is latched to the floor and an extended position wherein the lock plate abuts the lock arm preventing rotation of the input shaft and actuation of the recliner when the seat back is in the folded position and the riser is unlatched from the floor.

摘要： A seat assembly includes a seat cushion extending laterally between spaced apart side members. The seat cushion includes a front cross member extending between the side members. Front legs are pivotally assembled at one end to the front cross member for pivotal movement of the seat cushion relative to the front leg between a seating position and a forwardly dumped positions. A rod is connected at a first end to a spaced side member and at a second end to the front leg. The seat cushion is automatically laterally displaced relative to the front legs in response to pivotal movement of the seat cushion relative to the front legs due to changes in the effective length of the rod.

摘要： A seat assembly for use in an automotive vehicle comprises a seat cushion and a seat hack pivotally connected to the seat cushion by a recliner mechanism for providing pivotal movement of the seat back between a plurality of reclined seating positions and a forwardly folded position against the seat cushion. A front link supports the scat cushion above the floor of the vehicle in the seating position and lowers the seat cushion to a flat position with the seat back in the folded position. A rear floor latch releasably secures the seat cushion to the floor of the vehicle in the seating position and unlocks the seat cushion and the seat back for pivotal movement about the front link from the seating position to an upright tilted position with each of the seat cushion and the seat back extending generally upright from the floor of the vehicle. A rear link is operatively coupled between the seat back and the floor of the vehicle for supporting and securing the seat cushion and the scat back in the tilted position.

摘要： A vehicle seat support frame includes inboard and outboard support assemblies each having a longitudinal base member providing an upstanding strut supporting an elevated front pivot pin. The base member aft end is formed with a downwardly and rearwardly angled brace having a foot pivotally connected to the lower end of a rear link. The link upper end is pivoted to an aft end of a longitudinal carriage having an elongated side slot receiving the elevated front pivot pin, wherein with the link inclined rearwardly the elevated pin is positioned at a front slot limit. A lower rail, fixed on the carriage, slidably supports an upper track member fixed to a seat cushion frame, for seat assembly adjustment. An easy entry dump arrangement allows a seat back to be pivoted from a normal use position to a forward dump position rotating a track cam plate, thereby unlatching the track members for travel to their full forward position, wherein a cam plate finger contacts a latch am forward end follower to pivot the arm out of latched retention of the rear links. The released links are free to rotate forwardly and slide the carriages on their elevated pins to their rear slot limit positions, whereby the seat cushion travels forwardly along a circular arc, about the link lower pivots, inclining the seat cushion forwardly and downwardly to pass under the instrument panel to its easy entry dump position.

摘要： A vehicle seat comprises a seat back cushion assembly having a lower end and an upper end, and a seat cushion assembly having one end adjacent the lower end of the seat back assembly and an opposite end. A mounting structure is provided and is constructed and arranged with respect to the upper end of the seat back cushion assembly to mount the same so that the upper end does not move appreciably in a horizontal direction but can have limited vertical movement. A releasably lockable mounting assembly is constructed and arranged to be mounted on a floor of a vehicle and to be connected with the seat cushion and seat back cushion assemblies in a relationship which retains the one end of the seat cushion assembly adjacent the lower end of the seat back cushion assembly while enabling the assemblies to be selectively releasably moved between two locked positions consisting of (1) a sitting position wherein the seat cushion assembly extends generally horizontally from the one end thereof to the opposite end thereof to support a user sitting thereon and the seat back cushion assembly extends upwardly from the lower end thereof to the upper end thereof to support the back of a user sitting on the seat cushion assembly and (2) a storage position wherein the seat back cushion assembly extends generally vertically and the seat cushion assembly extends generally vertically in adjacent relation alongside the seat back cushion assembly. A cable assembly is operable remote from the releasably lockable mounting assembly to release the releasably lockable mounting assembly to permit movement thereof between the sitting and storage positions.

摘要： A seat adjuster particularly adapted for motor vehicle seats. The seat adjuster enables fore-and-aft movement of the seat and also provides an anchorage point for a seat belt restraint system which moves with the seat during adjustment. The seat adjuster includes a fixed base adapted for attachment to the vehicle's floor pan which forms an elongated toothed rack. A sliding rail which moves along the base includes a latching mechanism. The latching mechanism has a latching plate which is movable vertically and includes engagement features which mesh with the toothed rack on the base. In the normal condition, the latching plate is in an upward vertically moved position in engagement with the toothed rack thereby setting the adjusted position of the seat and providing firm support for the seat belt anchorage attached to the latching mechanism. When adjustment is desired, a release bar is actuated which moves the latching plate downward thereby disengaging the engagement features. The seat adjuster mechanism accordingly combines the functions of the seat adjuster and seat belt anchorages to provide an efficient and structurally secure seat adjuster.
