Abstract:
A compact, unitary electronic thermostat is formed by encapsulating a temperature sensing element and a solid-state control circuit in a potting compound having good heat transfer characteristics. The unitary thermostat, which includes a solidstate electronic switch having conductive and nonconductive states which are varied in response to the output from the temperature sensing element to control a load power supply may be completely or partially immersed in a fluid environment.
Abstract:
Apparatus for printing a photographic color print from a color transparency or negative includes a compound color filter consisting of two additive color filters to provide a device having the speed of operation of a conventional subtractive printer apparatus when printing color negatives of good color balance. The apparatus automatically introduces the accuracy of an additive printer system when unbalanced color negatives are being printed.
Abstract:
A photographic processor formed by an outer chamber with an inner chamber supported therein having walls which are spaced from the walls of the outer chamber. A cap seals both the inner and outer chambers and contains an opening through which liquid may be introduced into the inner chamber when the processor is upright. Openings are provided in the inner chamber adjacent the cap so that processing liquid may flow therethrough into the outer chamber when the processor is held horizontally and a liquid may subsequently flow therethrough and out through the opening in the cap when the processor is inverted.
Abstract:
Light-monitoring apparatus is disclosed for use with a color printing process in which the mean printing conditions are determined and applied to all prints. Three photoelectric transducers responsive to the primary colors are arranged to receive light from the source, after filtering, with such light being screened from the photosensitive material on which the prints are formed. The exposure times for the process are then determined by the average intensity of the light impinging upon the photocells. The photocells may also be partially responsive to light passing through the negative or transparency to correct partially for density and/or color changes from transparency to transparency.
Abstract:
The present invention involves a system for balancing the colors used in making colored photographic prints where the speed of the printing material is substantially greater for one color than for another. According to the invention a portion of the beam for printing the most rapid color components is reduced by suitable masking or filtering and exposure of the beam of that color component is automatically terminated. The color components of the entire illuminating beam are mixed so that exposure is made from the single mixed beam.
Abstract:
An automatic apparatus in which photographic films can be developed and dried in batches of several strips suspended from a rod which includes an automatic mechanism for sequentially lowering and raising each rod of films into and out of a series of baths. The film is moved into, held for a timed interval in, and moved out of each bath in the same vertical plane and moved horizontally to the next bath only while lifted completely out of the bath.
