摘要： This invention relates to a cost effective process for preparing a corrosion inhibitor/metal passivator additive for lubricant, grease and fuel applications from waste refinery streams, comprising reacting 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole either in powder form or in solution form in polar organic solvent, with disulphide oil obtained from Merox extraction/caustic wash of the refinery streams, in the presence or absence of redox agent.
