A method comprises displaying a navigational map in a viewing area on the display device with initial display settings, identifying selection of a first category of information, and identifying content associated with the first category resulting in a first set of content. The method further comprises automatically updating display settings for the navigational map in response to identifying selection of the first category, wherein the display settings are updated based on the first set of content. The method further comprises displaying the first set of content on the navigational map based on the updated display settings.

    摘要: In a first embodiment, the method includes, but is not limited to receiving a first instruction from a first party who is associated with control of the aircraft, to transmit an initial non-verbal communication to a second party who is associated with control of the aircraft. The method further includes transmitting the initial non-verbal communication to the second party over the digital communication link. The method further includes receiving a second instruction from the second party to transmit a non-verbal response to the initial non-verbal communication. The method still further includes transmitting the non-verbal response to the first party over the digital communication link. Either the initial non-verbal communication or the non-verbal response includes data that can be used to derive a text message and a graphic image, and wherein the graphic image includes information that is available to only one of the first party and the second party.

The method calculates estimated navigation limits for the vehicle using an onboard subsystem of the vehicle, where the estimated navigation limits represent self-assessed navigation accuracy of the vehicle relative to the planned travel route. Contracted navigation limits are acquired for the vehicle, where the contracted navigation limits represent specified navigation accuracy of the vehicle, relative to the planned travel route, as mandated by a third party navigation controller. A navigation display is rendered on an onboard display element such that it includes graphical representations of the planned travel route, at least one of the estimated navigation limits, and at least one of the contracted navigation limits.
