    摘要: An actuator for a self-adjusting pump head assembly has a variable position pump shoe slidably attached to a base. The assembly pumps liquids through a tube in a peristaltic pump, including a translator of rotational motion into linear motion and a crank for automatically compensating for the manufacturing tolerances of the tube in the pump pivotally attached to the translator and the shoe. The crank for automatically compensating has a linkage or pair of links, carrying a helical compression spring, pivotally anchored to the translator and the shoe. The peristaltic pump includes a self-adjusting pump head, including a variable position pump shoe slidably attached to a base and a control for positioning, locking and applying a continuous reaction force on the shoe to compress the tube between the shoe and at least one roller located on the periphery of a mandrel. Thus the control further has the translator of rotational motion into linear motion, and the crank for automatically compensating for the manufacturing tolerances of the tube introduced into the pump, pivotally attached to the translator and the shoe. Alternatively the pump has a disposable manifold safety cartridge, removably attached to the base, to which ends of the tube attach. The cartridge has an asymmetrical tie bar keyed onto the base to insure that the cartridge is oriented in an acceptable manner and that the tube will be properly installed on the pump.

    摘要: Brassiere tapes having a body portion and a pair of overlapping tabs extending outwardly therefrom are manufactured by providing a continuous strip of the tape having elements thereon and layers of material in the body portion and in each of the tabs weldable with ultrasonic vibratory energy, and separating the tabs physically from each other and simultaneously maintaining the tabs in acoustical energy coupling relationship to each other, such that the individual layers of material in the strip may be simultaneously severed and welded across the body portion and the tabs when interposed between an ultrasonically vibrating horn and an anvil, except for the layers of material in the tabs physically separated from each other. Advancing of the strip is accomplished on an intermittent basis between the horn and the anvil by means of the elements for continuously producing the tapes having a desired number of elements thereon. The separating of the tabs is obtained by interposing therebetween an insulation element produced from a plastic or paper material characterized in that it does not bond to the layers of material in contact with the element but simultaneously permits the vibratory energy to be transmitted therethrough.

    摘要: Brassiere tapes having a body portion and a pair of overlapping tabs extending outwardly therefrom are manufactured by providing a continuous strip of material for the tapes having fastener elements spaced along the strip and layers in the body portion and in each of the tabs weldable with ultrasonic vibratory energy. The tabs are separated physically from each other such that the individual layers in the strip may be simultaneously severed and welded across the body portion and the tabs when interposed between ultrasonically vibrating horn and anvil devices, except that the tabs which are physically separated from each other are not welded to each other. Compliant means for mounting of the anvil is provided so that the cutting edge for severing the tapes from the strip which is associated with the anvil is not readily dulled by the repetitive contacting engagement of the horn and anvil surfaces in the operative position. Advancing the strip between the horn and the anvil is accomplished by means of the elements on the strip for continuously producing tapes having a desired number of elements thereon.

    摘要: Brassiere tapes having a body portion and a pair of overlapping tabs extending outwardly therefrom are manufactured by providing a continuous strip of the tape material having elements spaced there along and layers at least in the body portion-forming part thereof. The material is weldable with ultrasonic vibratory energy, and the tabs are separated physically from each other while simultaneously maintained in acoustical energy coupling relation to each other, such that the individual layers of material in the strip are welded together across the body portion of a tape defined thereby and the tabs are individually welded along an edge but not welded together when interposed between an ultrasonically vibrating horn and an anvil. The strip is advanced on an intermittent basis between the horn and the anvil by the elements for continuously producing tapes having a desired number of elements thereon. The separating of the tabs is obtained by interposing an insulation element of material characterized in that it does not bond to the material under ultrasonic vibration but simultaneously permits the vibratory energy to be transmitted therethrough.
