摘要: The invention relates to a programming surface for imperative, procedural languages. A further prerequisite is a graphical user interface (GUI). The programming surface for the input of program code can be used with known programming languages such as Visual Basic, Java, C++. In the case of the programming surface, there is no longer a need to key in the program instructions. A language syntax need not be observed. An instruction set need not be learned.

摘要: Provided is a method for monitoring measurement data by way of measurement channels. The measurement channels are processed in a plurality of time series of state values with mutually different time bases. Limit value ranges are ascertained in a learning phase and monitoring-related steps are triggered in a monitoring phase when limit values are exceeded. A good value extent is calculated for a time series with an upper and a lower limit value, with the inclusion of a limit value range which is predetermined in the learning phase and a state base value of the time series, which is determined in the monitoring phase.

摘要: The invention makes a contribution in order that machines and installations are better utilized, their service life is extended, reliability is improved, the loss of valuable materials is avoided, test results are optimized, and energy consumption is diminished. It is an expert system that acquires and assesses the condition of installations, machines and apparatuses. The mechanism proceeds from a normal condition and permanently observes short-term, medium-term and long-term changes. If variations in the normal condition are detected promptly, major instances of damage can be avoided by promptly performing corrective actions before major instances of damage associated with prolonged downtimes occur.

摘要: Techniques for managing databases include registering multiple databases at a community server. Each database is controlled by a different party. The community server is accessible over a first network to which one or more users from each party have access. Each database is installed on a different network than the first network. The community server receives from a user over the first network a request to perform a management operation relating to a particular database that is controlled by a particular party. The community server determines that the particular database is registered and determines whether the user is authorized to perform the management operation. If the user is authorized, then the community server causes the management operation to be performed. With these techniques, one or more database devices, such as database appliances, can be managed over the Internet with a browser, at least for many common database management functions. This alleviates the load on an enterprise database manager platform, provides metadata even when the database device or enterprise platform is not working, provides ready backup when a database device or enterprise platform returns to operation, and enables a database administrator for the enterprise to perform some management functions while on the road, away from the site of the enterprise. It can also provide users of an enterprise's database devices with access to some database metadata when the user is on the road or the enterprise equipment is not operating.

摘要: In order to enable persons without particular programming knowledge to themselves write their own computer programs, there is proposed a computer-supported method of producing and/or executing program code, with at least one visualisation surface for the representation of establishable objects, by way of which information, in particular data, are inputted and outputted when executing the program code, wherein objects of the visualisation surface are writingly and readingly accessed by means of the produced program code. The method according to the invention is distinguished in that program components of the category run and function are provided for selection, and in addition instructions for interconnecting program components which regulate the call-up of the program components and their serial or simultaneous execution. The invention also concerns a corresponding system with an execution environment for carrying out such a method.
