摘要： A pallet lock, for use in aircraft or other carriers, having two locking dogs which are movable between unlocked positions within a frame and locking positions above the frame. A first locking dog is fixedly pivoted to the frame and is partially actuated by a trigger lever which is tripped by a first pallet and acts through a spring to move the free end of the dog toward the locking position. A second dog is pivoted to the free end of the first dog and is movably pivoted within the frame. If the first pallet stops over the trigger, an actuating lever, indirectly pivoted to the second dog, is moved by a second pallet to force the first and second dogs into the pallet-locking position.

摘要： An arc lamp construction in which the lamp envelope portion surrounding the main body portions of the arc electrodes is spaced therefrom to define a cylindrical gap and in which a packing member is disposed in the cylindrical gap to support the electrodes. The packing member is elastic, or radially deformable, to prevent cracking of the envelope as the gap width changes with temperature, and is thermally conductive to allow the transfer of electrode heat across the gap to the envelope.

摘要： An electronic heater control system for maintaining the vapor pressure within a vacuum bakeout system at an optimum level by causing the heating elements to be alternately energized and deenergized at a high frequency with the ON-OFF duty cycle being determined by the instantaneous vapor pressure in the system. The control circuitry includes a means for generating a time varying reference signal and a signal comparator means for comparing a pressure responsive signal to the reference signal. The comparator means then generates a heater control signal in response to the comparison for use in driving a heater energization switching means.

摘要： An arc lamp construction wherein a pair of metallic electrodes defining an arc gap are mounted within a quartz envelope and are secured within said envelope by shrinking the same into engagement with a foot portion of each electrode. The foot portions of the electrodes are tapered and include certain surface irregularities large enough to allow the quartz envelope, when shrunk thereabout, to be deformed into or around the irregularities to provide an interlocking mechanical mating therebetween to prevent longitudinal displacement of the electrodes within the envelope.
