摘要： The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of 4-(R)-hydroxycyclopent-2-en-1 (S)-acetate of the formula 2 by reacting meso-cyclopent-2-en-1, 4-diacetate of formula 1 with a whole cell enzyme in a mixture of a buffer and an organic solvent, filtering the reaction mixture to remove the enzyme, extracting the resultant compound with an organic solvent, and removing the solvent to obtain the desired product.
