摘要: Validating image cash letter (“ICL”) files using appropriate validation standards for each ICL file and, where appropriate, allowing successfully validated elements of an ICL file containing one or more unsuccessfully validated elements to be processed for payment and/or presentment. A processing entity can receive an ICL file with multiple ICLs that each includes multiple bundles of electronic check items from a customer. The processing entity can validate the ICL file using multiple validation rules selected based on a file type of the ICL file, data content of the ICL file, and/or an identity of a bank associated with the ICL file. The processing entity can transmit a report of the validation results to the customer. The processing entity can select certain successfully validated elements of the ICL file for check presentment and/or payment processing.

摘要: This invention is a spacer that has a plate portion with a U-shaped opening in one end and a foot portion attached to the opposite end. This spacer can be passed through the inspection opening or port of the bell housing of a transmission with the plate portion being inserted between the clutch brake and the transmission housing with the drive shaft disposed within the U-shaped opening in the plate. The foot portion is bolted to the bell housing to hold the spacer in place. The spacer has enough thickness that when the release bearing presses on the clutch brake, the clutch brake will engage the spacer and press the same against the transmission housing to make a worn clutch brake once again operate normally.

摘要: The invention disclosed herein relates to a device for applying thermal therapy, treatment or comfort to a patient or user which includes a container having an upper side and lower side with a space therebetween containing a chemical composition adapted to provide a thermal effect, and a plurality of discrete attachment areas which generally define a central location in the container. The device has a nest configuration and automatically conforms to the user's geometry upon application of weight thereon. The discrete attachment areas are positioned to define an inner peripheral base portion and outer peripheral portion in the device which collectively form the nest configuration. The device is particularly useful in thermal treatment for infants.

摘要: A procedure for estimating bit error rate (BER) for disc media in a disc drive is disclosed. Initially, the BER estimation procedure writes random data to specified tracks on the disc media. The procedure then reads the specified tracks over predefined time intervals to determine a BER for the disc media at the termination of each interval. Using the determined bit error rates, the procedure extrapolates the BER values to generate a decay graph representative of a BER slope over the time period comprising the time intervals. The decay graph is then used to estimate BER for the disc media at a predetermined time, such as the end of the expected life of the disc drive.
