摘要： For converting a first representation of a media content into a second representation of the media content, a data entity builder is used, which generates a data entity being the second representation of the media content. The data entity builder generates a second representation indicator, at least one regenerated media file and a payload data schedule, the payload data schedule having schedule information indicating, for each regenerated media file, the start of the payload information of the media file. The regenerated media file represents the same media content as represented by the original media file in the first representation.

摘要： A database manager comprises: a detector detecting a connection of an external database which comprises media files, a database file system comprising a media identifier comprising a file or directory path name and an identification on the location of the media file on the external database, and metadata for each of the media files; a database synchronizer reading and storing, as a first step, part of the database file system and, as a second step, part of the metadata when the at least a portion of the database file system is read; and a search request processor processing a search request for a media file in parallel with the second step, wherein the search request processor provides a search result based on the media identifier from the database file system, even when the metadata for the media file is not yet read and stored in the second step.

Each content entity comprises a main menu and at least one submenu accessible via the main menu. The storage disc further comprises an entity selection menu. The method comprises providing the entity selection menu for reproduction, receiving a selection of the content entity to be provided, detecting that the storage disc comprises a plurality of content entities, mapping a pre-defined start address to a different start address and providing the selected content entity for reproduction based on the different start address. The pre-defined start address is mapped to a different start address of the storage disc associated with the main menu of the selected content entity to be provided.
