摘要: Embodiments herein provide a method for identity management across multiple planes. The method includes receiving, by a MCPTT server, a first request message to establish a call between a first MCPTT client and the one or more second MCPTT client from a signaling plane entity. The first request message includes an application plane identity of the one or more second MCPTT client. Further, the method includes translating, at the MCPTT server, the application plane identity of the one or more second MCPTT client to a signaling plane identity of the one or more second MCPTT client. Furthermore, the method includes sending, by the MCPTT server, the one or more second request message including the signaling plane identity of the one or more second MCPTT client to the second MCPTT client for establishing the call via the signaling plane entity.

摘要: A hardened VoIP system is presented that includes secure push-to-talk voice functionality. Through the addition of encryption, authentication, user filtering, and integration with new and existing LMR systems, a secure voice platform ensures malicious software, unauthorized access, and brute force security attacks will not compromise the voice communications of the system. The VoIP system is engineered to ensure graceful system degradation in the event of maintenance activities, natural disasters, and failure modes. The hardened VoIP system offers the functions of a LMR trunking system while utilizing broadband connections. Private calls, group calls, Emergency Alarms with covert monitoring capability, scanning, and priority scanning may be incorporated into the system. The system includes a VoIP controller that serves as a trunking controller, manages available VoIP based conference bridges, and assigns them as needed to the parties involved in each voice call.

摘要: Methods and systems for an intelligent network protection gateway (NPG) and network architecture are provided. According to one embodiment, a firewall provides network-layer protection to hosts of a private network against unauthorized access by hosts of an external network by performing network address translation (NAT) processing of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. The firewall also provides application-layer protection on behalf of the hosts and supports Voice over IP (VoIP) services by processing signaling protocols associated with VoIP sessions. An external VoIP interface of the firewall receives incoming VoIP packets each associated with a VoIP port of the external interface. The packets are directed to an appropriate host by the firewall performing port address forwarding based on a mapping of VoIP ports to private addresses of the hosts.

摘要: A method, system, and/or computer program product improve Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) call quality during a VoIP session. A VoIP session is established between an initial focus VoIP node and multiple slave VoIP nodes, where the initial focus VoIP node uses a first type of codec for the VoIP session. A user focus code score (UFCS) describes a VoIP call quality for each of the nodes based on predetermined network conditions related to use of a certain type of codec and nodal hardware specifications. The UFCSs are ranked to identify a highest-ranked VoIP node. The highest-ranked VoIP node is reclassified as a new focus VoIP node for the VoIP session, and the initial focus VoIP node is reclassified as a slave VoIP node. Thereafter, there is a simultaneous switching of 1) the focus and 2) the type of codec used in the VoIP session.

摘要: A selective call blocking function (SCBF) device, included in an internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS), processes a request to establish an IP call on an LTE network, such as a voice over long term evolution (VoLTE) call. The SCBF device identifies a user equipment (UE) associated with the IP call and an associated eNode B (eNB). For example, the SCBF may access a subscriber location memory to determine a location of the UE and an eNB associated with the location. The SCBF determines whether the eNB supports the IP call, and permits the IP call to be established via the IMS when the eNB supports the IP call. When the eNB does not support the IP call, the SCBF blocks the IP call and initiates a non-IP call, such as a 1× call, to the UE to prevent communications interruptions.

摘要: Methods, devices, and systems are disclosed for simulating a large, realistic computer network. Virtual actors statistically emulate the behaviors of humans using networked devices or responses and automatic functions of networked equipment, and their stochastic actions are queued in buffer pools by a behavioral engine. An abstract machine engine creates the minimal interfaces needed for each actor, and the interfaces then communicate persistently over a network with each other and real and virtual network resources to form realistic network traffic. The network can respond to outside stimuli, such as a network mapping application, by responding with false views of the network in order to spoof hackers, and the actors can respond by altering a software defined network upon which they operate.

摘要: A system and method of providing VoIP services by using multiple Real-time Transport Protocol servers (RTP) servers for transmitting VoIP data between user endpoints. The RTP servers are selected based on the network addresses of the respective endpoints according to the network topology. Traffic mirroring is established among the selected RTP servers. Each RTP server is responsible for transmitting the VoIP data representing the video/audio signals received at its associated endpoint to another RTP server which then relays the VoIP data to another endpoint. Further, routing optimization can be performed to select a network route between the selected RTP servers for RTP data transmission.
