A method for producing an environmental awareness for alerting an operator of a vehicle includes receiving data from a set of sensors; and analyzing a set of objects in the vehicle's environment. Additionally or alternatively, the method can include any or all of: pre-processing the data; determining a scenario based on the analyzed objects; triggering an action based on the scenario; producing a set of models and/or algorithms; and/or any other suitable processes performed in any suitable order.

The method can be performed with a system as described above and/or any other suitable system.
