摘要: A luminaire is providing, having a substrate of a particular shape and a plurality of solid state light sources mounted thereon. The plurality has a measurable characteristic and includes an adjustable solid state light source, such that the characteristic changes in response to adjustment thereof. The luminaire also includes a sensor that detects the characteristic from outputted light, compares it to a baseline value and, based on the comparison, so adjusts the adjustable solid state light source. The luminaire also includes a reflector with a lower edge that conforms to the particular shape of the substrate, and reflects outputted light from the plurality so that it exits past the reflector's upper edge. The luminaire also includes a lightguide having an input that is surrounded by the reflector and captures a portion of the outputted light so as to provide the captured outputted light to the sensor.

摘要: A zeolite based SCR catalyst for NOx reduction using a reducing agent for treating exhaust streams from industrial and commercial boilers is provided. The reactor system has a zeolite based catalyst arranged in catalyst cassettes in a modular fashion where the reactor containing the zeolite based SCR catalyst cassettes is placed in a perpendicular direction to the exhaust exiting the industrial and/or commercial boiler. The catalyst selectively reduces nitrogen oxides to nitrogen with a reducing agent at low to medium temperatures. The reactor results in high NOx conversions and very low ammonia slip and is active for a wide range of boiler firing conditions. Boilers with low NOx and/or ultra low NOx burners can be replaced with a standard conventional burner for overall emissions reduction performance, efficiency improvements and energy savings. Boilers with low NOx and ultra low NOx burners can also be fitted with this zeolite based SCR catalyst reactor for additional NOx reductions and energy savings.

摘要: A golf club grip extension and chipping training aid comprising a tubular grip extension having a central bore sized to accommodate the grip and shaft of a standard golf club such that said golf club can be inserted into said grip extension and secured. The grip extension can be removably attached by means of a slotted and threaded grommet that fits over the club shaft and screws into threading at the bottom of the grip extension. The club with the grip extension is a chipping training aid that allows a golfer to practice a chip shot with the grip extension pressed against the body to teach the chip shot without movement of the wrists.

摘要: A luminaire suspension mechanism is provided. The mechanism includes two arms, two friction elements, and a compression element. Each arm includes three segments and two connection points. For each arm, a first segment attaches to a second segment at a connection point, forming a first angle, while the second segment attaches to a third segment at another connection point, forming a second angle. Each friction element is connected to a respective arm's third segment. Each arm's first segment is compressably attached to the compression element, such that a force applied to at least one of the arm-friction element pairs results in the compression element and that at least one pair exerting a suspending force that suspends a luminaire to which the luminaire suspension mechanism is attached within a cavity. The compression element may be a torsion spring, and the angles formed by the arm segments may be obtuse.

摘要: Discrimination between genuine coins and unacceptable coins (i.e., slugs) deposited in a coin-actuated vending machine, is achieved by guiding a deposited coin for movement along a guide path, and positioning a disk-shaped coil which forms part of an oscillator circuit at a certain position relative to the first guide path such that coins of certain diameters will interact with flux produced by the coil when the latter is excited by the oscillator circuit and the coins are guided in proximity with the coil. Amplitude and frequency values each corresponding to operation of the oscillator circuit (1) in the absence of a proximate coin, and (2) when a deposited coin is at positions along the first guide path which are in proximity with the coil, are measured. Degrees of shift in the amplitude and the frequency values between measurements made at (1) and (2) are then determined. The determined degrees of shift are compared against known shift limits for acceptable (i.e., genuine) coins of interest, and an accept condition for a deposited coin is judged according to the comparison result.

摘要: An improved cane with an internal grasping apparatus including an actuator on the cane handle and a plurality of clamps that extends from the foot or base of the cane. A cord system within the casing of the cane connects the actuator to the clamps so that when the actuator is in use, the clamps close or open to either grasp or release objects, depending on the amount of pressure applied to the actuator. Applying pressure to the actuator extends a plurality of clamps from the distal end of the cane that can be used to assist with grasping of objects. Releasing pressure to the actuator on the cane handle will retract the clamps back into the distal end of the cane to where the clamps are hidden.
