摘要: A mixing and shaping system with a mixing and shaping optic is provided. The system can include an optical housing configured to secure the optic along with a diffuser component arranged between the optic and the exit lens of the optical housing. The optic includes an integrally formed mixing pipe and reflector body configured to mix and shape radiation for superior near field and far field mixing. The mixing pipe is optically coupled to one or more radiation sources. The reflector body includes a first internal surface configured to receive the radiation from the one or more radiation sources and reflect or refract the radiation, and a second internal surface configured to receive the reflected radiation and reflect or refract the radiation, wherein at least a portion of the reflected radiation is configured to exit the reflector body through the first internal surface.

摘要: A system can configure a luminaire for providing illumination of a selected color temperature, a selected lumen output, or a selected photometric distribution. The luminaire can comprise at least two light sources that have different illumination characteristics, for example different color temperatures, different lumen outputs, or different photometric distributions. The system can configure the luminaire to operate a first of the two light sources, a second of the two light sources, or both of the light sources based on an input. When the luminaire is configured to operate both of the light sources, the luminaire can produce illumination having a color temperature, a lumen output, or a photometric distribution that is different than either of the two light sources.

摘要: An optical cup which mixes multiple channels of light to form a blended output, the device having discreet zones or channels including a plurality of reflective cavities each having a remote light converting appliance covering a cluster of LEDs providing a channel of light which is reflected upward. The predetermined blends of luminescence materials provide a predetermined range of illumination wavelengths in the output. The remote light converting appliances may be provided as frustoconical elements directly adjacent to the LEDs within frustoconical reflective cavities. An index matching compound can be disposed between the light converting appliances and the associated LEDs.

摘要: A lighting fixture includes an LED light source that outputs light for general illumination in response to a drive signal, and a driver module configured to provide the drive signal in response to an intelligent lighting module (ILM) instruction. An ILM that is separate from the driver module is provided and has a first plurality of sensors, a first communication interface, a second communication interface, and first control circuitry. The control circuitry of the ILM is configured to communicate with at least one remote entity via the first communication interface as well as generate the ILM instruction for the driver module based on sensor data gathered from the first plurality of sensors, remote entities, or a combination thereof. The ILM instruction is provided to the driver module via the second communication interface and used by the driver module to control the drive signal for the LED array.

摘要: A luminaire is providing comprising a heat spreader and a heat sink thermally coupled to the heat spreader, an outer optic retained relative to at least one of the heat spreader and the heat sink, a light source in thermal communication with the heat spreader and comprising a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) that are disposed on the heat spreader such that the heat spreader dissipates heat from the plurality of LEDs, and a power conditioner configured to receive AC voltage and deliver DC voltage to the plurality of LEDs, the power conditioner being disposed on a same side of the heat spreader as the plurality of LEDs. A combination defined by the heat spreader, the heat sink and the outer optic is so dimensioned to cover an opening defined by a nominally sized can light fixture and cover an opening defined by a nominally sized electrical junction box.
