摘要： An infusion set (101) includes an inserter (121) pivotally connected to a base (111). The inserter (121) includes a catheter (173) and an introducer needle (167). The catheter (173) is movable from a first catheter position disposed substantially entirely within the inserter (121) to a second catheter position in which a free end of the catheter (173) is disposed externally of the inserter (121) and the base (111). The introducer needle (167) is movable between a first introducer needle position disposed substantially entirely within the inserter (121) and a second introducer needle position in which a free end of the introducer needle (167) is disposed externally of the inserter (121) and the base (111). An activation button (141) is movable between first and second button positions. When the button (141) is moved from the first button position to the second button position, the catheter (173) is moved from the first to the second catheter position, and the introducer needle (167) is moved from the first to the second introducer needle position to facilitate insertion of the catheter (173) and back to the first introducer needle position to store the introducer needle (167) within the inserter (121). The inserter (121) is then pivotable from an insertion position to a storage position within the base (111) of the infusion set (101).

摘要： An apparatus is disclosed for storing and changing needles for connection with a medicament delivery device, comprising an inner housing, a reservoir disposed within the inner housing, and a needle holder disposed within the inner housing, for fluidly connecting a medicament container of the medicament delivery device with the reservoir. The apparatus also includes a plurality of patient needles displaceably disposed on the needle holder, and an outer housing displaceably disposed about the inner housing and providing a user interface to individually select one of the plurality of patient needles, connect the selected needle with the reservoir, expose the selected needle outside of the apparatus for injection, and store the selected needle.

摘要： An infusion set has a retraction dial that can be removably assembled with the infusion set and access a threaded needle hub contained therein such that the dial can be used to advance or retract a needle hub and an inserted needle to a more precisely controlled insertion depth to deliver insulin or other medicament intradermally (i.e. to the upper 3 mm of skin surface). Position of the inserted needle can be maintained by providing a separated and isolated needle hub, main base and main hub of the infusion set that can isolate the inserted needle from external forces such that the needle can be maintained at a depth to deliver content to the upper 3 mm of skin surface during normal use.

摘要： An infusion set has an adhesively secured main hub, and a slidable top cover, needle hub and angled or cantilevered needle that can be used for performing an intradermal needle insertion precisely targeting the upper 3 mm of skin surface, for example, one that substantially duplicates the Mantoux insertion technique, for injecting into the intradermal layers of skin, while maintaining a degree of comfort to the user.
