    摘要: An injection delivery system for automatically injecting fluid into an injection site includes at least one support element and a carriage moveably mounted to the at least one support element so that the carriage can move linearly relative thereto. The carriage has a support structure for removably receiving and carrying a syringe assembly for movement with the carriage, and a carriage actuator is operable to cause such linear movement of the carriage. A plunger actuator is carried by the carriage so as to move with the carriage, and is adapted to be operably coupled to a syringe plunger for causing linear movement of the syringe plunger within a syringe barrel. The carriage actuator and plunger actuator include respective inputs for receiving movement instructions, and may be coupled to an electronic controller that provides such instructions.

    摘要: Systems, devices, and methods are provided for providing safe syringe assemblies for injections. The syringe assemblies include a shielding mechanism that covers a syringe needle after an injection is delivered, thereby reducing the risk of a subsequent accidental stab from the needle. The shielding mechanism has a pre-injection configuration in which the needle extends beyond the housing and a post-injection configuration in which at least one component of the syringe assembly covers the needle. In some implementations, the syringe assembly includes a lock that inhibits the assembly from returning to the pre-injection configuration once an injection is delivered. The syringe assemblies may also include a bevel orientation mechanism that allows a user to align a needle bevel to accurately insert a needle for injection.

    摘要: A needle steering system and apparatus provides active, semi-autonomous control of needle insertion paths while still enabling a clinician ultimate control over needle insertion. The present teaching describes a method and system for controlling needle path as the needle is inserted by precisely controlling the rotation of the needle as it continuously rotates during insertion. This enables underactuated 2 degree-of-freedom (DOF) control of the direction and the curvature of the needle from a single rotary actuator. Control of the rotary motion is therefore decoupled from the needle insertion. The rotary motion controls steering effort and direction, while the insertion controls needle depth or insertion speed. In one implementation, the proposed method does not require constant velocity insertion, interleaved insertion and rotation, or known insertion position or speed.     摘要: A surgical instrument for perforating dense tissue of a human or animal body and for injecting a pharmaceutical product behind the tissue. The instrument includes a hand-piece with a housing for a pharmaceutical product container. The hand-piece has two opposite ends, one of which includes an axial throughway leading into the housing for passing a perforator injection needle inserted in the container. The other end is used to drive the container and needle in rotation. The surgical instrument further includes a member that, during perforation, can exert pressure on the pharmaceutical product in the container inserted in the housing to prevent perforation debris from entering into the needle.
