摘要: An assembly for mounting a photovoltaic panel comprises a support that includes first and second parallel flange surfaces and mounting clamp bases each fastened to an associated one of the parallel flange surfaces. Each of the mounting clamp bases comprises a clamp base web including through holes longitudinally aligned along the web; domed uptakes radially extending from the clamp base web, where the domed uptakes separate the clamp base web from opposing longitudinally extending channels each formed from an associated channel base surface, an associated channel sidewall and channel top surface; opposing upright fingers extend from the channel top surfaces in a direction perpendicular to the clamp base web surface, where each of the upright fingers includes one or more serrated edges on each of its longitudinal sidewalls; and chamfered mounting clamp base protuberances that extend from the clamp base web.

摘要: A method of installing a solar panel assembly that includes a first beam, a second beam and a third beam where the first and second beams are parallelly spaced and perpendicular to the third beam, and further includes a plurality of purlins, a semicircular ring fastened to the third beam, and a plurality of photovoltaic panels between adjacent ones of the plurality of purlins to form the solar panel assembly, the method comprising lifting the solar panel assembly and rotatably attaching it to a post by inserting a pin into a first bore in a flange extending from the third beam and into a second bore in the post, where the first and second bores are coaxial such that the solar panel assembly has a range of rotational motion about the pin, and fastening proximate and distal ends of the first and second beams to distal and proximate ends of adjacent solar panel assemblies.

摘要: An apparatus comprises a plurality of voltage sources, one or more processors embedded with the plurality of voltage sources, and memory storing processor executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to modify duty cycles of the voltage sources, and to modify timing for each phase of a multiphase cycle. In some cases, the apparatus: transfers, for each phase of the multiphase cycle, power from a different source of a plurality of sources to a load; determines, for each phase of the multiphase cycle, an input voltage associated with the transferred power, an output voltage associated with the transferred power, and current from the source associated with the transferred power; determines a duty cycle associated with the source; modifies duty cycles of the voltage sources; and modifies timing for each phase of the multiphase cycle.

摘要: An actuator assembly for a solar tracking system is disclosed. The actuator assembly includes a gearbox housing and a gearbox cover, a motor, and a lead screw. The gearbox housing and gearbox cover cooperate to define an internal chamber for receiving a gear assembly. The motor is mounted to the gearbox housing and is operatively connected to the gear assembly. The lead screw is operatively attached to the gear assembly and mounted inside an inner tube. A thrust bearing assembly is disposed between the gear assembly and the lead screw, with a portion of a thrust bearing nut being positioned within the thrust bearing assembly. A castle nut engages the thrust bearing nut, with the locking washer being frictionally engaged with the castle nut in an interlocking manner. An inner tube is mounted with in an outer tube for linear movement with respect to the outer tube.

摘要: A solar powered charging station uses photovoltaic panels to generate electrical energy for use directly and/or for storage in electrical batteries for use during night operation. The station includes parallel electrical circuits which permit the station to operate during daylight hours in the event of a failure of the battery or the battery charging system. The station is designed to provide a kit embodiment having light weight, easily transportable components. The parallel circuitry is adaptable for use with other forms of electrical power generation having a minimal carbon footprint.
