摘要: A pipe assembly includes a pipe shell, a liner, and one or more anchor members. The pipe shell defines an inner wall. The liner lines the inner wall of the pipe shell and defines an inner wall of the pipe assembly. The anchor member is attached to the pipe shell, extends from the inner wall of the pipe shell, and is embedded within the liner. The anchor member may help to resist localized delamination of the liner from the pipe shell, and propagation of any localized delamination of the liner from the pipe shell. A related method is also provided for forming the pipe assembly.

摘要: A method, system and computer program product are provided for monitoring a transverse position of a conveyor belt or its material load. A processor receives a digital video or digital images capturing movement of the conveyor belt and the material load. The processor segments the images or frames into a group of contiguous pixels representative of the conveyor belt, and the material load, such as by moving object detection, using background segmentation and threshold processing, pixel intensity-based segmentation or image texture-based segmentation. The processor determines a pixel coordinate of the group of contiguous pixels, which is indicative of the transverse position of the conveyor belt or the material load. The processor generates an alarm or report or a data signal, which depends, directly or indirectly, on the determined pixel coordinates.

摘要: A process for solvent extraction of bitumen from mined oil sand ore is provided, comprising mixing the mined oil sand ore with at least one solvent to produce a solvent/oil sand slurry; adding water to the solvent/oil sand slurry to produce a slurry having a water-to-solids mass ratio of less than about 0.1; mixing the slurry in a mixing tank having a diameter to agglomerate the solids present in the slurry, the mixing tank operating at a power input of between 20 and 50 W/kg of slurry, to produce an agglomerated slurry; and subjecting the agglomerated slurry to solid-liquid separation to produce a first liquids stream containing bitumen and a first solids stream; whereby the slurry height in the mixing tank is 0.1 to 0.3 of the tank diameter.

摘要: A method for predicting a solids content, boiling point information, and micro carbon residue content of an extra heavy oil test sample involves subjecting extra heavy oil calibration samples to T1-weighted T2 low-field NMR pulse sequences, and recording T1 and T2 relaxation information to generate a NMR calibration data set. A chemometric partial least squares calibration model is determined to relate the NMR calibration data set to reference values of properties of the calibration samples. Similarly, the extra heavy oil test sample is subjected to the NMR T1-weighted T2 low-field NMR pulse sequences, the resulting relaxation information is recorded to generate NMR test data. The properties of the test sample are predicted based on the PLS calibration model and the NMR test data. The test sample may be derived from a process stream for upgrading bitumen, and may contain significant amounts of solids and high boiling point hydrocarbons (e.g., >524° C.).
