摘要: The integration of news about members of a group into symmetrical group communications is described. Group members are delivered news items and information regarding members of the group, and are able to communicate with other members of the group in response to the news items. One embodiment dynamically generates aggregated RSS news feeds for a group of people or entities and correlates that aggregated data with biographical information, audio, and video media to provide rich information about the relevant parties to the news story. The embodiment also provides the capability of transmitting email or other electronic messages to the parties in the news story to facilitate two-way communication while maintaining the group members' privacy and anonymity.

摘要: A compound of the present invention is a triazine compound of the general formula: Ar, Ar′ and Ar″ are aromatic moieties which are conjugated to the triazine core and are the same or different. Each of R1, R1′, R1″ to Rn, Rn′, Rn″, which may be the same or different, is an elongated flexible, at least partly aliphatic chain such as to impart liquid-crystalline or columnar crystalline properties to the compound or its mixtures. —(R1, . . . , Rn), —(R1′, . . . , Rn′) and —(R1″, . . . , Rn″) indicate that there are up to n, n′ and n″ substituent groups R on respective Ar, Ar′, Ar″ moieties, where n, n′ and n″ are integers which do not exceed a number of available substituent positions on the respective Ar, Ar′, Ar″ moieties.

摘要: The current invention relates to a method of functionalising a substrate comprising immobilising at least one multimeric peptide on the substrate, wherein, the at least one multimeric peptide comprises at least first and second peptide chains, the first peptide chain comprising at least one hydrophobic amino acid residue and at least one functionalising moiety, wherein the at least one hydrophobic amino acid residue and at least one functionalising moiety are positioned in the peptide primary structure so as to result in a hydrophobic face, and a substantially non hydrophobic face comprising the functionalising moiety, and wherein, contacting the peptide with the substrate causes the peptide to be immobilised thereon.

摘要: The current invention relates to a method of fabricating a multimeric capture agent for binding a ligand, the capture agent comprising at least first and second monomers units, the first monomer unit further comprising a first ligand-binding moiety, a first reactive group and an attachment moiety, the second monomer unit further comprising a second ligand-binding moiety, and a second reactive group, wherein the reactive groups may be the same or different for each monomer unit, the method comprising the steps of; a) reacting the first monomer unit with the second monomer unit such that reactive groups present on the monomer units react to form a multimeric capture agent. b) immobilising the first monomer unit on a substrate via the attachment moiety, wherein, step a) can be performed before, simultaneously with, or subsequently to step b).

摘要: A charge-transport structure, e g an opto-electronic structure such an electroluminescent device is manufactured by forming a uniform first charge-transport (eg electron-transport) polymer layer on a substrate. Low molar mass dyes in a solvent are ink-jet printed onto the exposed surface of the first layer to form a multicolor pattern, and the dyes are allowed to diffuse into the layer to form charge-recombination/emitter regions within the layer. Excess dyes are washed away from the surface and then a uniform second charge-transport (eg hole-transport) polymer layer is formed on the resultant smooth surface of the first layer over the tops of the regions. Finally, electrodes are deposited on the top of the second layer in registration with the regions. Photovoltaic structures and organic transistors are also disclosed.
