摘要: The printed products to be wound up are delivered by one belt conveyor of a conveying arrangement. The latter comprises two belt conveyors which conjointly form a conveying channel with a defined inlet and outlet. Conveyor belts of both of these two belt conveyors are guided such that the conveying channel has a curved path directed toward a rotatable winding mandrel. The conveying arrangement is pivotable about an axis of rotation of a drive drum of the innermost conveyor belt of the two conveyor belts and is pressed against the winding mandrel, respectively against the product coil or wound package forming on the winding mandrel, by a winding strap capable of being placed under tension and which is withdrawn from a winding strap supply roll and runs through a portion of the conveying channel and is connected with the winding mandrel. A separate contact or pressing mechanism can be forgone. The design of the conveying arrangement permits a compact construction and free choice of the delivery location of the printed products to the winding mandrel.

摘要: A sensor element and a counter-element are arranged opposite one another on opposite sides of a stream of printed products or the like. The sensor element is a deflecting feeler element. In order to detect multiple occupied positions and still be able to transport the stream of printed products practically without permanent contact by the sensor element in the absence of multiple occupied positions, the counter-element is intermittently advanced toward the side of the product stream opposite the sensor element at the tempo of the sequential or successive continuously transported printed products. The least distance between the undeflected sensor element and the counter-element in its advanced position corresponds to the thickness of one of the printed products or to an integer multiple thereof. A signal generator is associated with the sensor element and responds to its deflection.

摘要: A method and a device for manipulating substantially similar flat articles each having two main surfaces and at least one pair of opposite edge portions delimiting the main surfaces, the flat articles being arranged in a stack such that consecutive ones of their main surfaces contact one another, outermost ones of the flat articles thereby forming two faces of the stack and consecutive superimposed edge portions of the flat articles thereby forming opposite edge surfaces of the stack. The method involves: providing a first stabilizing device and a second stabilizing device, each of the stabilizing devices being effective for stabilizing the stack in a freely selectable spatial orientation whereby at least two opposite portions of the opposite edge surfaces are accessible when the stack is being stabilized in either of the stabilizing means; providing a pair of clamping jaws having substantially flat and elastically deformable clamping surfaces facing each other and having a length greater than a distance between the two faces of the stack; positioning the clamping surfaces parallel to the at least two opposite portions when the stack is being stabilized by the first stabilizing device; moving the clamping jaws toward each other into contact with the at least two opposite portions after the step of positioning thereby clamping the stack between the clamping jaws whereby the clamping surfaces are deformed; moving the clamping jaws together with the stack to the second stabilizing device; and releasing the stack by moving the clamping jaws away from each other.

摘要: A belt conveyor arrangement (16) is disposed upstream of the winding mandrel (12) of the rolling-up apparatus (10) and determines the conveying path (18) for the printed products (20) which are to be rolled up. A delivery device (30) leads from below into the conveying path (18) and delivers into the conveying path (18) a wrapping (28) which is to be rolled up together with a printed product (20) in each case. The wrapping (28) has in each case an edge portion projecting over the roller (114) and by means of the blast nozzle arrangement (130) is held across the conveying path (18). This edge portion is laid around the leading end region of the printed product (20) fed and is introduced together with the latter into the mandrel gap (14). After the printed product (20) and the wrapping (28) have been rolled up, the winding mandrel (12) is moved out in the axial direction and the pressure belts (96 ) are brought to rest, so that the wrapped roll (26) can be removed from the rolling-up apparatus (10) by rolling on the pressure belts (96) and on the driven belts (58') of the cantilever belt (58).

摘要: The coiling apparatus for flexible planar articles (44), in particular printed products such as newspapers, magazines and parts thereof comprises a winding core (16), which is rotatably journalled in a frame (12) and drivable by a drive shaft (28), and a coiling band (24) which directs the flexible planar articles (44) essentially tangentially to the coiling core and is wound up onto the coiling core together with the planar articles. A drive train comprising a driving disc (38), a drive belt (40) and a drive belt disc (42) makes it possible to rotate the shaft (14) on which the winding core (16) is rotatably mounted from the same motor as drives the band reel (26). Between the winding core (16) and the rotary shaft (14) there is located a spiral spring (18) which is secured at its one end (20) to the winding core and at its other end (22) to the rotary shaft (14). The arrangement is so devised that the end (22) of the spring (18) can be moved relative to the spring end (20) in order to change the state of tension of the spring. The apparatus makes it possible in this manner to adapt the torque exerted onto the coiling core to the increasing coil diameter during winding up of the coiling band (24) with the planar articles (44). A regulating system is not necessary.
