Abstract:
A shower curtain and series of clips or hooks integral therewith. The clips are single pre-fabricated members including a lower/shower curtain portion and upper/hanger portion. The shower curtain portion retains a shower curtain while the hanger portion attaches to a shower curtain rod. The shower curtain portion may be square-shaped, rectangular or the like and may be received by, and substantially encapsulated by, an internal space defined by layers of shower curtain material at an upper edge thereof. The shower curtain portion is configured to fit onto a shower curtain rod. Advantageously, when attached to the shower curtain rod using the series of clips described herein, the shower curtain is substantially flat or flush relative to the shower curtain rod and/or the clips are concealed in part or completely from a position outside of the shower/bathtub. A shower curtain liner may be attached to the shower curtain.
Abstract:
A communication method and system. The method includes receiving, by a computing system, user identification data identifying a first user. The computing system receives first device identification data identifying a first device belonging to the user and second device identification data identifying a second device belonging to the first user. The computing system associates the first device identification data and the second device identification data with the first user identification data. The computing system transmits connection data and the second device identification data to the first device. The computing system receives first informational data for the user. The computing system transmits to the first device and the second device, copies of the first informational data.

Abstract:
The present technology is directed to apparatuses, systems, and methods for assessing absolute and relative peripheral perfusion. In various embodiments, two blood volume measurement devices measure the blood volume at a patient's extremities either simultaneously or in series. Distortions between the waveforms generated by the two blood volume measurement devices are detected, and an assessment of the patient's perfusion is determined based on the degree of distortion.
Abstract:
In a device having a display, at least one sensor signal is generated from a sensor in the device. One or more context values are then generated from the sensor signal. The context values indicate how the device is situated relative to one or more objects. At least one of the context values is then used to control the operation of one or more aspects of the device.
Abstract:
Smokable rods of cigarettes are manufactured using wrapping materials that incorporate at least one fibrous material (e.g., flax fibers, hardwood pulp fibers and/or softwood pulp fibers) at least one filler material (e.g., calcium carbonate in particulate form). The wrapping materials possess multi-layer coatings. The wrapping materials possess coatings in the form of series of spaced apart bands, each band possessing a series of layers. At least one of the coating layers can have a filler material dispersed or suspended within a film-forming material of that layer. For a representative wrapping material, a pattern of applied to the wire side major surface of the wrapping material substrate as a plurality of layers, and at least one of the layers includes ethylcellulose and calcium carbonate. For that layer, the calcium carbonate is present in an amount greater than the ethylcellulose, on a weight basis. The ethylcellulose and calcium carbonate typically are applied as part of a non-aqueous formulation incorporating iso-propyl acetate, triacetin and lecithin.

Abstract:
A shower curtain lock having a support member, locking member with a handle. The support member and locking member are joined at upper ends thereof to permit the locking member to rotate relative to the upper end and away from the support member for receipt of the shower curtain. Magnets incorporated in the locking member and/or support member provide means for the support member and locking member to attach to one another and maintain a shower curtain in place against a wall adjacent to a shower area.
