    Abstract: An ice chopping assembly includes at least a blade, shaft, handle, and force enhancing assembly. The blade may includes at least one face and at least one edge cooperatively structured to break ice formed on a solid surface, but may otherwise be appropriately configured to break ice. The shaft is rigidly affixed to the blade opposite the edge. The handle may be rigidly mounted to a bushing, through which a restricting device may travel. The restricting device includes a stop structure about which the bushing may be concentrically disposed. At opposite ends of the stop structure may be stop segments which limit the reciprocal travel of the blade relative to the handle.

The method according to one embodiment comprises providing at least one labeled content item as input to an initial classification model, a given labeled item having at least one feature, a given feature being associated with a weight, computing a posterior probability of the initial classification model for the given labeled content item and generating an updated classification model using the initial classification model and the weight associated with the given feature in the given labeled content item. The updated classification model is applied to an unlabeled content item to determine a score for the unlabeled content item.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for presenting application modules on a graphical display page are provided. In accordance with one embodiment, content to be displayed on a graphical display page is determined. Then, content features which describe the content that is to be displayed on the graphical display page, and user features which describe characteristics of users are determined. For each application in the plurality of application modules, the probability that specific users will select the application module when displayed on the graphical display page with the determined content is determined based on the content features and the user features. For each application module in the plurality of application modules, an overall score is determined based on the determined probability that the user will select the application module and a commercial value to be paid by a publisher of the application module when it is selected. The recommended application modules are determined to be those application modules in the plurality of application modules which have the highest overall score and which satisfy a set of constraints. Representations of the recommended application modules are displayed on the graphical display page.

    Abstract: A method and system for generating a topic page for a search query on a search webpage includes receiving a query at the search webpage on a client. The query is transmitted from the search webpage on the client to a search engine on a server. A topic page generator available to the search engine analyzes the query to identify a plurality of dimensions. One or more content modules, including at least one interactive advertising module, that match one or more of the dimensions are selected from a plurality of sources based on a weight associated with each of the content modules. The weight defines the ranking of a content module. The content modules for the plurality of dimensions are glued together and presented on the topic page in the order of the corresponding weight of the content modules. The order of presentation identifies the relevancy of the content modules to the query. The presented topic page provides the most relevant content modules for the query, and for a user located in a specific geo location.

    Abstract: A mechanism for providing strong anti-replay protection at a security gateway in a network for protection against an attacker duplicating encrypted packets. The mechanism assigns a unique sequence number to each encrypted packet and a time stamp. A receiving security gateway rejects packets that have a duplicative sequence number or that is too old to protect itself against replay attacks. Each security gateway checks off the sequence numbers as they are received knowing that the sending security gateway assigns sequence numbers in an increasing order. The receiving security gateway remembers the value of the highest sequence number that it has already seen as well as up to N additional sequence numbers. Any packet with a duplicative sequence number is discarded. In addition to the sequence number, each packet also has an associated time stamp that corresponds to an epoch during which it should be received. If the packet is received after the epoch has expired, the packet is rejected.
