The transparent conductive layer is formed in the effective region where the fluorescent layer is absent. The second substrate improves the brightness of light emitted from the fluorescent layer and prevents a power supply layer, to which a high voltage is applied, from being damaged, because the transparent conductive layer is not formed under the effective region.
