    摘要: An electrophotographic copying process produces a photocopy having a negative image in order to highlight information in a specified area. An original image is radiated onto a photosensitive medium to form a first image. A solid block is formed in the specified area of the first image. The first image is then transferred to blank paper. The original image is then radiated onto the photosensitive medium again and a portion of the image is erased in order to form a second image. The second image is then transferred to the sheet of paper having the first image. The resulting image formed on the sheet of paper includes a highlighted second image formed in the specified area.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus wherein a multicolored image of an original is formed in color on a sheet in one cycle of image forming operation. The apparatus comprises a plurality of developing devices which are filled with respective developers colored differently from each other and a scorotoron charger disposed between the developing devices for recharging on electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive member processed by the upstream developing device with the polarity opposite to the polarity charged beforehand. The developing device located upstream of the scorotron charger functions to develop the imaged portions including primary information which were charged with first potential. The scorotron charger recharges the electrostatic latent image with the opposite polarity, thereby lowering the potential of the other imaged portions including background information which were charged with second potential. The image portions charged with the second potential are developed in low density by the downstream developing device, portions with the second potential finely contrast with each other can be formed.

    摘要: A sheet feeding device that is suited to be employed in an image forming apparatus having a printing section for printing an image on a sheet. The sheet feeding device has feed rollers for feeding a sheet at a speed “Va” and timing rollers for feeding a sheet fed by the feed rollers to the printing section at a speed “Vb”. Sensors are provided between the feed rollers and the timing rollers, so that the gap between a foregoing sheet and a following sheet can be detected at a plurality of detection points while the foregoing sheet is being fed by the timing rollers and the following sheet is being fed by the feed rollers. When one of the sensors detects that there is a gap between the sheets, a control unit controls the feed rollers such that the speed “Va” will be higher than the speed “Vb”.

    摘要: Disclosed is a method for producing an original for use in an overhead projector through an electrophotographic process. The method comprises a process for applying a first light-transmissive toner onto a surface of a transparent film, a process for heat-fixing the first light-transmissive toner on the film so that particles of the first light-transmissive toner are not melted completely and such that a diffusive surface is formed, a process for applying a second light-transmissive toner onto the diffusive surface corresponding to a document image, and a process for heat-fixing the toner image on the diffusive surface so that particles of the second light-transmissive toner forming the toner image are melted completely and that a toner image having a smooth surface is formed. When such films carrying toner images having a smooth surface formed on the diffusive surface are piled one over another, the toner images on the lower films placed under the top film are invisible through the top film and hence the toner image on the top film is clearly visible.
